"Cory and Colton arrived on the time schedule, did a survey on the apartment and quickly started moving the furniture. They were very professional and did the best they could to finish as early as possible."

Small jobs welcome

"We had a complicated move, combining two households into a new home, plus moving stuff into storage, but Dee took care of all the logistics, and the moving crew was super professional, polite, and helpful. The move went flawlessly and we couldn’t be more satisfied."

"Vicente and his crew did a great job moving us twice. Both were locals moves. I will also hire them for any future moving needs. They're punctual, responsive to my requests, and they handled items with care so that nothing was broken. Fair prices, too. Definitely a local business worth hiring. I recommend them!"

"Veterans Movers is absolutely AMAZING!! After dealing with bad movers in Mississippi I was really hesitant to have another company come and help us but I am so glad we did. They were quick, efficient, respectful, professional, and EXTREMELY helpful even after our move. We are a military family and in the last 20 years of moving these guys are hands down the BEST around whether it’s a local or cross country move we 10/10 recommend them."
We operate all over Texas! This particular family moved from Boerne, Texas to just outside of Ft. Woth.

"Two movers came and did a great job moving my mom's furniture. They were very friendly and professional. Only reason I left 4 star was that one of the movers was having a hard time due to bilateral knee pain and that put a lot of responsibility and increased the time it took to move."

Moving questions, answered by experts

It takes professional movers longer to load a moving truck than unload it. However, it depends on the specifics of your move. It takes some time to strategize the most efficient way to load the moving truck with your furniture, boxes, and belongings. That’s why it’s important to rent the right size moving truck to ensure everything fits and makes the loading process move faster.

It’s typically not advisable to move heavy furniture by yourself. However, if you are confident that you can do it safely, there are several different tools you can use, including a hand truck, a four-wheel dolly, or an appliance dolly. If you’re moving furniture upstairs or downstairs, a hand truck is the most suitable choice. Regardless of what you choose to use, always ensure that the furniture is well-balanced and secure by using lifting straps or tie-down straps to keep it in place.

The first step in moving a house is to provide blueprints and assess which parts of the house you can move. The next steps are obtaining permits, inspecting the structure, securing road permits, and getting bank approval.

When it's time to move, professionals can prepare the house by disconnecting utilities, removing items, and adding support braces. The house is then lifted with steel beams, jacked up, and placed on dollies for transport. Once it’s at the new location, it gets lowered onto the new foundation, utilities get reconnected, and additional features, like porches or garages, are added.

Before hiring a moving company to help you with your move, there are a few things you will want to ask, including:

  • Is there anything your company won’t move?

  • Does workers’ compensation cover the crew?

  • Will you disassemble and reassemble the furniture?

  • Are there packing restrictions?

  • Can you guarantee my delivery date?

  • Can you provide references?

  • What do you charge extra for?

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Yes, tipping each mover separately ensures that everyone on the team gets their fair share.
