I told the salesperson the size of our fireplace and he indicated that the installation technician would need to bring two differently sized burners with him to ensure it was properly sized for our fireplace area. The salesperson was very professional and courteous. The technician arrived a little late, but was very courteous. He had only brought one burner (the larger size) with him, but insisted it was the proper size for the fireplace area (it went from one side of the fireplace all the way to the opposite side). The installation seemed pretty difficult with the technician having to bend and coil much of the gas tubing in order to squeeze in the automatic lighter and larger burner. Eventually, he was able to squish it all in and light it up. We were happy to have our beautiful, brand new fireplace installation working! That evening when using the fireplace, we noticed that flames were coming up from behind the ceramic plates that line the fireplace. Not knowing the source of the fire and concerned we had a leak somewhere, we immediately shut off the gas. The next day, we called the Fireplace Man and the owner told us we were running it too high. When we told him that his company had installed it with an automatic starter that controls the gas flow. He then told us that the pan was set too far back. He informed us that we needed to fix it by digging out all the glass rocks and resetting the pan. He did not offer to have his technician come out and fix the problem he had created. He recommended that I do it myself. On systems I'm not trained to fix. That was all I needed to hear, so we called another company out who indicated that the burner was oversized for the space, they put in a smaller burner and now everything works perfectly. This other company also indicated that they could have done it for about half the cost. I will not use the Fireplace Man ever again and suggest you do not do so either. I believe there are better options for you that can be found on Angie's List. Some major ones were: cleaning properly the house including all the appliances which were left dirty, retouching the marks and scratches on the walls, changing AC filters, fixing not working fireplace, changing all light bulbs burnt out, clean all the drawers from crumbs and dirt, remove dead bugs in the light globes, clean ceiling fans, paint the windows which have new wood that has never been primed etc.......). It was a big list and we did take pictures of all these issues, but then we agreed to give them a week to fix everything. So we booked our movers to come in a week time hoping for the best. But when we stopped by the house 5 days later to check its condition, barely 50% was done. They did repaint few marks on the walls, changed the light bulbs, and lightly clean the house, but the fridge, dishwasher and the drier were not even touched, the same like all the cabinets and drawers, the bathrooms still had dust and hairs everywhere, the fireplace not fixed, windows not painted. It was very disappointing. Unfortunately, it was too late to cancel our move and as we had been already paying for this house, we had to move in anyway. It has been already 9 days since we moved in, but they still have not sent anyone to fix the fireplace and other broken things, or paint the rest of the walls and windows. We sent multiple requests online and tried to call, but looks like they are not very keen to help us. Fireplace Service reviews from real Angi homeowners in Boling, TX
Three people showed up for a 1-person job. They moved quickly and got in, got out. The fireplace cleanup and tune-up I requested appears to have been completed satisfactorily. Be aware that they may attempt to upsell other services (perhaps why there were 3 people present). We were asked...

I called to set an appointment and one of the owners talked me through, exchanged emails with pictures and refused any money. Mr. Booth was so helpful and kind to help me and was not put out by my questions. If and when I need a new fireplace I will surely call Westside Grill & Fireplace!

It was and continues to be great. Despite being a busy time of year, Tru-Lite made an extra appointment in their schedule to fix a hazardous installation done by a competitor. The technician was on time, overly polite (apologizing for their competitor's improper installation), extremely...

If you need to install a natural gas line, you’ll pay $200 to $1,000 on top of additional labor and material costs. Vented gas fireplaces are the most expensive type to install, averaging around $5,000. The average cost to repair a fireplace is $575. You might pay anywhere from $95 to $2,500, depending on the severity of repairs and the type of fireplace. A typical repair of an igniter can range from $100 to $150. However, if you need to repair your mantel, expect the bill to be anywhere from $500 to $1,200. Wood fireplaces tend to cost more to repair due to specialized labor costs. Electric fireplaces tend to be the most cost-effective to repair, along with gas.

The cost to remodel your fireplace is $1,200 on average. This cost can range from $400 to $2,000, depending on the extent of work needed.
If you add a hearth to your fireplace, you can expect to pay between $3 and $200per square foot. However, if you're refacing your fireplace, the price tag will depend on your chosen materials. If choosing tile, you can pay between $1 and $50per square foot, depending on the design. Stone is a more expensive material, averaging between $60 and $70 per square foot.
The average cost to remove a fireplace is $7,000 but can range from $4,000 to $10,000. Labor costs account for the majority of this price, which can range between $500 and $2,000. In addition, permits to remove a fireplace are typically needed, and these can cost anywhere from $100 to $1,000, depending on your location and city requirements. If you’re removing your fireplace due to issues like asbestos or damage, you will likely need to pay to rectify these problems along with the fireplace removal cost.
