Small jobs welcome

"Carlos did an amazing job. He was always on time and showed up everyday that he said he would. I needed him to tape, mud, and finish a room of drywall for me. He also patched some stuff that I asked about last minute. Great guy and does very professional work. He even left the workspace clean after everything he did for the day. Highly recommend!"

"Mitchell, with Mabry Construction was hired to replace some boards on our deck and re-stain it. He did a very nice job! Mitchell was the first company to reply to my request on Angie and promptly came out to provide an estimate. He was kind and accommodating as we had rain on and off for weeks. Mitchell showed up every day, working around the rain, until the job was completed. Our deck looks great! We would use him again!"

This company is awesome! Great choice! Their prices are reasonable too. Special THANKS goes out to Ethan & team! /S/ Pauline Green "

"They built a pergola over a concrete patio. Added electrical and stain. Cesar also Repaired a leak in an outdoor water outlet. We are very happy they were to start right away on the project. Also with the quality and time it took to complete the project."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

With its breathability and flexibility, lime plaster is among the most durable of all plaster types. It's also fire-resistant and has a proven track record, as people have been using it for thousands of years.

However, all plaster types will last for many years with the right care and treatment. Proper preparation and installation will also help ensure your plaster walls look great for as long as possible.

A utility knife is sharp enough to score the drywall and it may work in a pinch for outlet box holes. However, one of the best tools for drywall when you need to make exact cuts for an outlet box quickly is a drywall saw. This handheld tool has a longer blade than a utility knife, so it penetrates the thickness of the drywall easily. The design of its handle and the teeth in its blade make it easier to control while cutting quicker than you can with a utility knife.

Installing or repairing plaster on ceilings differs slightly from performing the same motions on a wall. You’ll apply slightly less plaster to lower the overall weight of the ceiling. Wall texturing is common, whereas most ceilings are smooth plaster. Tough coat plaster is strong, meaning you can use less while retaining a solid surface.

In most cases, no, you won’t need a permit to replace drywall. If you’re changing the floorplan of your home by adding or removing walls during the drywall project, then you might need a permit, but replacement or repairs usually doesn’t require a permit. Your drywall professional should be able to confirm whether or not a permit is required for your project. If it is, it’s likely to add between $50 and $150 to your total cost. Keep in mind that you will need permits if you plan to install new electrical wiring or plumbing lines behind your new drywall.

Yes, walls on the top floor can be load-bearing if stacked on the floor’s foundation.
