"Awful. Absolutely awful. We hired them for an insurance claim. The job was extremely sloppy. The drywall is uneven and chunky. There was paint splatter on my floor that no one felt the need to clean up. There was a spot on my floor that was supposed to be fixed under the carpeting. It was never fixed and I paid out of pocket to have that carpeting replaced and that floor fixed. the padding was never replaced under that section of carpet either and I paid for that too!! When I brought it up to the owner, I receive no response. I have called and left voicemails, my wife has called and left voicemails. I even contacted the restoration company who hired these goons, and they are just passing us off to the owner like it's all his fault. NO you hired an incompetent contractor. He has been to small claims court before, he may be going there again if this issue isn't resolved."

No, the pink ring in your toilet bowl isn’t a hard water stain but a type of bacteria called Serratia marcescens. This bacteria can also cause pinkish stains in other areas of your bathroom, like around your tub, shower curtains, and faucets. Thankfully, it’s considered to be harmless. However, if you or anyone in your household is immunocompromised, it can cause issues like urinary tract infections. You can clean the pink ring with bleach and a plastic brush. You could be smelling sewer gas in your kitchen because of a dry P-trap, clogged vent pipe, or leaking plumbing seals. If you smell a rotten egg odor, check your sink’s P-trap and plumbing connections first. A clogged or damaged vent pipe can trap sewer gas and push it back into your kitchen through the plumbing pipes. Loose or deteriorated seals around drainpipes can also allow sewer gas to leak out. If you can’t find the source, call a local plumber for expert help.

You should leave the water dripping when temperatures are below 20 degrees for three hours or longer or your power goes out in the winter. Leave the water dripping until temperatures are consistently above 20 degrees and you’ve checked for frozen pipes. With water movement in your pipes, ice is less likely to form, and your pipes are less likely to burst. The drip relieves pressure, preventing burst and leaking pipes.
