This is the second time we have hired Groundworks (formerly Bakers Waterproofing) to perform work at our house. The first project was in 2017 when we had the waterproofing system installed. We called Groundworks a few weeks ago to get an estimate on lifting our front sidewalk and stairs that have sunk a lot over the past year. The steps had sunk to the point that the railings were not connected to the house, making it very unsafe for anyone coming into the front of our home. Aaron Lenker & Corbin Gillichbover were very professional and knowledgeable when they arrived to assess our sidewalk and steps to lift them. They left our sidewalk and the surrounding area better than when they arrived. Our steps and sidewalk are now level, and the railings are securely attached to the house again. We are thrilled! I would highly recommend Groundworks if you need a basement waterproofing system or any concrete lifted.

Cliff Wertz and George Wertz of Baker's Waterproofing were fantastic. Very polite and respectful of my daughter and me and of the property. They were very clean and worked extremely hard and were extra taxed by the heat, working in 90⁰+ degrees for two days doing very hard labor and precision work with the jacks. I would definitely have them back if I'd ever need anything else they provide.

Shannon Sisk came to my house to inspect a water leakage problem in my basement. He was very informative and knowledgeable as to solutions to the issue. Turns out the problem is coming from the neighboring townhouse's gutter and downspout. He feels the water is leaking behind my siding and drai ing into my basement. Shannon did not sell me a system that I do not need. He did give a quote for waterproofing if the problem gets worse and affects other walls in the basement. Certified Field Inspector Shawn Hedricks was very personable, knowledgeable and thorough (inspection took several hours, as the job was extensive). They were able to get me scheduled 2 weeks after the inspection=great turnaround. Foreman Lukas Selleck, along with Dean Hollenbach and Alex Young, arrived promptly each of the two days it took to complete the project, even calling before arriving to confirm arrival time. Dealing with Lukas was the best experience I've had with a contractor of any type, which is saying a lot with a 110-year-old money pit of a house. He went out of his way to explain the process of fixing the problem, answering every question I could think of. The finished product looks wonderful and is an impressive piece of engineering that relieves concern. After the project was completed, he and his team vacuumed and left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived, which was an unexpected bonus. While the expense was eye-watering, their work was very impressive.

Brian, Garrett and Aaron did an amazing job. They were very efficient and finished the job in 1 days. They even troweled the concert after my little 4 legged inspector tried to leave his autographs on their work. I feel I can rest easy knowing my house is secure and dry in the days to come. I expect to complete another inspection in spring 2024 to complete the job. They worked with me to make the repair affordable.

I hired their employee Ryan to find the source of flooding in my basement but instead felt forced into buying their product. When the foreman(Paul) & workers came to install the system they started to destroy my basement by cutting the 2x4 and layers of insulation. I told the foreman to stop because Ryan never told me that they would do this and Paul replied, “The salesperson doesn’t know what we do. They just want to sell the product to you. We need to do what we were sent to do.” So they continued working without my consent, and by the time they were done, my basement was destroyed, they ruined my yard, made my walkway crooked, and cracked a piece of siding because nothing was level. It rained and the emergency alarm would not stop beeping. The system was circling water and not discharging it. I was scared that my basement would flood. Still, nothing has been fixed. My walkway, yard, siding, 2x4, and insulation are still in disrepair and the entire system is still in limbo.

DO NOT USE BAKERS WATERPROOFING. We hired Bakers in December for waterproofing our basement. They weren't the lowest price and they weren't the highest price but the Salesman/technician had experience and knew what he was talking about. After signing the contract and giving them a deposit, they came out in mid-May (2022) as agreed to. Two days before they came out, we were told they had contracted out the work another certified company, RES out of VA. They did a good job and the guys cleaned up the area daily and when the job was finished. After paid them and, we noticed that the walls we plastic panels were not used on the one side of the basement. These panels were in our contract and paid for. After several days of trying to get a hold of our Salesman ,we found out he was no longer with the company and the Asst. Sales Manager, Taylor called me back and when she looked at our contract she noticed right away the Brite walls were on the contract and not installed because they are on backorder for months. No one would ever have caught it if we hadn't called. Taylor said she would have about a $1000.00 credit check sent out to us form corporate. We'll its going on 5 weeks and no check. Of course I had to pay the balance of the contract 10 mins. after the job was done. We've been calling every week and Taylor has been helpful and nice but she has no control over the new corporate owners and just keeps telling us, it's been issued. The new corporate owners, GROUNDWORKS, DOES NOT CARE about the customer once they have their money. Forget about trying to get a hold of human at Groundworks. We finally got to the point we had to post a negative review

We had three gentlemen; Eric Davis, Jason Schaffer and Gage Fegley complete our project. They were very nice , knowledgeable and professional. If I had a question they would stop what they where doing and take the time to answer my question without looking like I bothered them. They where extremely polite and finished the job on time.

We called and asked if someone could come by and provide an estimate to diagnose/repair some cracks/separation we noticed along our stairs and ceiling. We were fortunate enough to have Mitch Welliver assigned to our inspection! He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in describing his findings and providing us with some options. While here, I asked if they also installed sump pumps and, although this last minute ask likely made his visit to your home that much longer, he handled it like a true professional and never made us feel like it was an inconvenience. I’m truly grateful for the time he spent and various pricing options he was able to provide. That flexibility goes a LONG way and we now feel confident that choosing Baker’s was the right call!

Bakers crew was Eric Davis, Ali Martin and Gage Fegley. These 3 guys were a good team to get the work completed inside and out. They stayed until early evening until all the work was done. They cleaned up all the mess and took it with them. It rained yesterday and I had no water in my basement. Yeah !!!

Garrett was job Forman. He was very professional and took the time to go over everything prior to the work starting and then a full walkthrough and explanation when the work was completed. Garrett, Logan and Max were on time. Did fantastic work and cleaned up very well. We are highly satisfied with the job done and would absolutely hire them again to have more work completed. Definitely going to recommend Baker’s Waterproofing to friends and family. My father was a mason all his life and wanted to inspect the work when they were finished. He was very impressed. That’s hard to do so good job!!

The crew arrived promptly and worked cleanly and efficiently. Someone had to come back at a later date to install frost guards and it was clearly too big of a job for one person. However, he also worked hard and got the job done. All of the employees, from the man who came to give the estimate, to all of the installation crew, were personable, pleasant and hard working. This has been an extremely wet summer and our basement has been as dry as a bone since the system was installed.
