Small jobs welcome

"We needed new gutter guards installed on our shed. Jesse thoroughly cleaned the gutters and professionally installed the new guards. The gutters were approximately 20 feet above ground level, and Jesse completed the work safely and efficiently. He arrived exactly as scheduled and worked diligently until the job was fully completed. We were very pleased with his workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail."

"Did an excellent job. My husband loves his new walk-in shower bathroom. Kept the area clean. Gave us a really good price. They also put a roof on for us About two years ago. Excellent job. We will definitely use them in the future."

"We are pleased to provide an outstanding review for our flooring experience with Molyneaux tile, carpet and wood. We had a little trepidation in opening our home in the context of the pandemic but from the very beginning, with the initial meeting with our Design consultant, Malik Vincent (located at Molyneaux Rte. 286- Holiday Park) we knew we were working with an extremely professional organization. Malik guided us in making the best decisions for our first and second floors in our homes given our lifestyle and needs. And masks and social distancing were always observed. The hard flooring and carpeting teams were also highly efficient, respectful and hard working. Molyneaux has employed individuals who are gifted in their respective areas and the results are beautiful. Even the plumber who was called upon to help with the hard flooring installation in the bathroom went above and beyond what was expected and asked of him. And the proof is in the pudding. Both my husband and myself, but perhaps, most importantly, our teenage boys, are all extremely pleased with the finished products. Molyneaux receives our highest recommendations and would use them again with no hesitation whatsoever!!!"

"Behrmarc Construction did a wonderful job on our new kitchen backsplash tile installation! I am extremely picky and ordered custom tile online, and they were able to cut and place the tile perfectly. They were able to find the exact color of grout I was looking for! They are very professional and always arrived on time for the job. Marc and Derek were also wonderfully personable and friendly. They listened to my concerns and even made suggestions as to how we could do things better. I was also home alone with them multiple times and felt incredibly safe and comfortable. They also were wonderfully non-judgmental and flexible when it came to our special home. My husband and I are both veterinarians and we rescue many special needs animals. Marc and Derek had no problem taking precautions to ensure that our animals were not exposed to anything unsafe and that they did not leave doors open and unattended. I will absolutely be using their services again for our continued home renovations! Highly recommend!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Whether you use a brush or roller depends on the size, shape, and amount of tiles. Rollers are easier to maneuver over large areas and can apply a more even coat of paint in a shorter time frame with no visible brushstrokes. Brushes are best for precision work, particularly in very small areas. If you don't want visible brushstrokes on your painted tiles, you can paint details with small foam brushes instead of bristled paint brushes.

While you shouldn’t use thinset mortar on its own as a floor leveler, it can work alongside other products to help level floors. For instance, you could start with a self-leveling compound, let that dry, then apply backer board with thinset mortar to help fully even out the floors ahead of laying tile.

Natural stone floors, especially pebble-style tiling, are one of the least slippery options for a shower floor. Natural stone has a texture to reduce slickness, and pebble-shaped tiles add more visual and textural contrast while reducing slippage. Vinyl tiles are also designed with anti-slip texture for added safety. If you have a slippery tile, be sure to add a grippy shower mat to reduce the risk of falls.

One major drawback of a concrete tile roof is that the material is heavier than most other roofing materials, so there’s a good chance you’ll need structural reinforcements for your home before you can install the roofing material. Concrete tile roofs are also twice as expensive as asphalt shingle roofs, so even though they last much longer, you’ll see higher up-front costs and lower overall value from concrete roof tiles.

As long as you follow the instructions on your peel-and-stick tile packaging, it should not damage your walls. A possible instance when you may accidentally damage your walls is if you install tiles improperly using additional adhesives that aren’t recommended.

Also, you can damage your walls if you’re not careful when removing tile. For example, you could accidentally make holes in the drywall with a paint scraper if you don’t heat the adhesive long enough before trying to pry it off.
