"A Cut Above many other Contractors! We had needed brick pointing done on our home for a few years. We are also in the middle of a renovation project for our game room and that included the installation of a sliding glass door where a window was. The door install required that a steel lintel be moved up to accommodate the height of the new door. We were very fortunate that we called Michener Chimney and Masonry to come and have a look. They came out in a timely fashion and gave their estimate to us in just a few days. Once we agreed to get the work done, Jim and his team from Michener began the work quickly. They were professional and friendly and did a wonderful job on all of the aspects of the project. Communication with them was easy, clear and accurate. "I recommend Clarke and his masonry business without reservations. His crew led by Josh could not have done a better job repointing our (old) all brick house in Bellevue. This was a big job that took ~7 weeks to complete. The cost - given the size of the job - was reasonable and fair, and Clarke was very flexible with scheduling the work; he kept me up to date on the status of the project before the work started and during the job itself with at least weekly calls. They are low pressure so if you have a project and just need to get an opinion, reach out to them. Chris is great and very attentive and helpful. Both of my waterproofing jobs still cost less the the initial job from one of the big companies, so I was really pleased with their work and price. "I have been dealing with water coming in my basement since 1996 when I purchased my home. I have hesitated hiring the big waterproofing companies as they are so expensive (in the thousands of dollars) and they typically receive bad reviews. When I saw Swaskoski Solutions on Angi's List, I noted they had excellent reviews and were a locally owned company where the owner, Bill, is present on the jobs. I called the phone number and Bill promptly answered my call! Bill scheduled a visit to my home and studied my dilemma. He told me he could fix this water issue for me and could do this from the outside of my home. He quoted me a price that was a fraction of the cost of the other big water companies where you never see the owner. Bill is a wonderful communicator answering my questions and he and his team were on time and worked diligently and solved my water dilemma! After digging along the foundation, they found 3 holes in the block where water was entering my home! They repaired these holes with hydraulic cement and then tarred the foundation! My water dilemma is now solved for the first time in 27 years. I would HIGHLY recommend Bill - Swaskoski Solutions. They were extremely respectful of my property and very trustworthy.
