"Nate was a pleasure to work with. His price for the job was quite reasonable, and the work site was left in good condition. Could have been been better communication about the process of getting the work completed but I'd definitely hire Nate again if I needed more demolition work."

"This company was referred by another contractor. Honestly I use these guys every single job I have now. The owner is a man of integrity and that goes along way with me. I rated this company 5 stars and it’s well deserved."

"They were incredible. They were able to quickly move my furniture, unassmebling the necessary items and keeping track of the parts, reassembling once we arrived to the new house, and brought all the necessary items to do the move. They not only did the move quickly, but took care of my items in the move. None of my furniture was damaged, and I could tell they wanted to do the job right. I was always responded to in a very professional "yes sir," even though that was not ever necessary. They brought straps, blankets, the truck, dollies to move the furniture, effectively everything we needed for the move. If I were you, don't look any further for getting help to move. They got the job done in a single day, which involved a 5-hour drive for my items with 3-hours of loading and unloading each. These guys worked their tails off, I cannot praise them highly enough."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

Garbage disposals can be considered bad for the environment due to their electricity usage, but good for the environment because they reduce the food waste sent to landfills. If everyone used a garbage disposal, it would tax the wastewater treatment facilities in that region, but if we had to choose one of the options, we’d say they are a net positive on the environment when used correctly.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

The two main negatives of garbage disposals are they are a safety hazard in homes with children, and they frequently encounter blockage issues. While they might be annoying to fix and monitor, garbage disposals can significantly lower your trash use and are a great way to dispose of organic waste. While there are negatives, the vast majority of homeowners acknowledge the positives are enough to install a disposal in their home.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.
