"We needed a new vinyl click lock floor installed throughout our house. Adam and Jack were wonderful. It was a pretty big job, and they did amazing work. Very conscientious about doing a great job, timely and cleaned up every night, as we were living in the house while they worked. Can’t recommend them enough, 5 stars ⭐️ Plus !"

"They are a nice provider. I talked to them on the phone for about 30 minutes and they sent some samples. We were able to get a discount on designer purchases but not useful on designing the space. Once we told them what we wanted, they were able to help purchase from the warehouse and save about $1,500. I think they became too busy with this big deal. You buy a ticket per room and we still actually have a couple left with this provider. After redesigning one room, we kind of ran out of steam and have not designed the other rooms. Overall this is a good service and it's a good concept. Whomever I spoke with, she was really nice. I would recommend this provider. This kind of service seems to be for people with time and knows exactly what they want. They are super helpful with the designer discount from the warehouse. They don't actual design your room which is slight flaw."

Small jobs welcome

"Mike and his team did an amazing job on our bathroom and laundry room in 10/2021. Their work was high quality, professional, well organized, on time, and tidy.. Mike made helpful suggestions throughout the process and was always accessible, responsive, and positive. We highly recommend him and plan to hire him again for future projects."

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

For Springfield upholstery projects, keep a dehumidifier and airtight storage bins to protect fabrics from moisture. A heavy-duty staple gun, upholstery needles, and strong thread are essential for repairs. Fabric protector spray helps guard against spills, especially during rainy seasons. Drop cloths prevent mud stains, and keeping fabric samples from local shops makes matching and future restoration easier. A basic toolkit for disassembly is also helpful.

Helpful?

Your Springfield home is ideal for upholstering if you have solid furniture frames, a well-ventilated workspace, and a dry area for fabric storage—important due to Springfield’s damp climate. Homes with vintage or heirloom pieces, especially those found in Springfield’s historic neighborhoods, benefit most from restoration. If your space receives plenty of natural light and you can easily move furniture, DIY upholstery is even more manageable.

Helpful?

Delaying upholstery work in Springfield can lead to mold growth and fabric breakdown, as the area’s frequent rain and humidity accelerate wear. Dust mites and allergens also become more problematic over time. Prolonged exposure to moisture may loosen joints in wooden frames. Scheduling projects before the busy fall season helps avoid long wait times with local professionals and reduces the risk of extensive repairs.

Helpful?

In Springfield, older homes often have narrow staircases or doorways that make moving large furniture tricky, sometimes requiring partial disassembly. Split-level layouts can add extra steps when transporting pieces. Limited outlets in vintage homes may restrict the use of power tools. If you live in a neighborhood with HOA guidelines, check for restrictions on noise or visible workspaces before starting your upholstery project.

Helpful?

In Springfield, choosing moisture-resistant and fade-resistant fabrics is crucial for lasting upholstery, given the local climate. Timing projects for late spring or early summer helps with ventilation and drying. Regularly check furniture frames for hidden moisture damage before starting. Building a relationship with local fabric suppliers ensures better material matching. For intricate or antique pieces, consulting a Springfield upholstery professional can help achieve durable, high-quality results.
