"I interviewed a few contractors to completely remodel my kitchen before choosing Millspaugh Maintenance Engineering because of the previous internet reviews and their CCB records. Their estimates were inline with the others, but the pictures of the cabinets were better. My galley kitchen had soffits to be removed to expand the cabinets to the ceiling. This was complicated because of wires and pipes. Millspaugh has grouped up with very good plumbers, electricians, and a superb cabinet maker. My wife wanted fancier cabinet doors than normal, and they found the perfect style. IMPORTANT note for any contractor: we had very good communications with Millspaugh and the sub-contractors and they kept to the schedule. The prices were similar to what was quoted. I will be using them next year for remodeling the bathrooms and other projects."

"James was wonderful!!! He answered my request in a very timely way, had good suggestions for my project, which I took. I bought 2 used similar bookcases and the top of a hutch, he picked them up, made some requested adjustments to the 3 parts, painted the units, installed them as 1 wall unit and bolted to the wall!!! And the unit is BEAUTIFUL!!! I have waited several years for these and am so HAPPY! I will/would use Mr. Hanum again!"

"Brian and crew were very professional and worked around our needs. They kept everything neat and clean and cleaned up afterwards. The work was done professionally to code and looks very good. The removes are old aluminum windows with storm windows and installed new vinyl pain with trim. Everything was caulked and flashed properly. I would recommend them and would also hire them again for a future project."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

For maximum effectiveness, you should keep your solar pool cover on whenever your pool isn’t in use. Covering the pool during the day allows the solar cover to use the sun’s rays to heat your pool, prevent evaporation and heat loss, and protect your pool from debris.

Calcium hypochlorite, or cal-hypo, tends to be the best shock for an above ground pool. It is widely available, affordable, and powerful. Cal-hypo shock is typically 65% to 75% chlorine and is very effective at ridding a pool of bacteria or other contaminants.

The popular 12-by-24-foot oval above ground pool is ideal for a family of four or a group of four to five people at most. This above ground pool size is popular for balancing space in a backyard and easy use and leaves room for designing a pool deck or patio.

Yes, adding a pool to your property will almost always increase your homeowners insurance premiums. This is because pools are considered hazardous, which increases your home's liability risk. The replacement cost of the pool itself is also factored into your home's rebuilding cost when determining coverage limits. The amount of the increase can vary from as little as $50 to several hundred dollars more per year, depending on your insurance company, location, current coverage, and installed safety features. It is best to contact your insurance agent before installing a pool to get an estimate, understand their specific guidelines, and factor the ongoing cost into your budget.

A stock tank pool is far cheaper than an in-ground pool. Installing an inground pool costs $55,000 on average, while a stock tank pool costs around $945 to install.
