"I have hired bend paint and drywall for many projects. They have completed both interior drywall and paint projects as well as deck and shingle stain for me. They are always on time and clean up after the project is done. Their work is high quality. I would highly recommend Yona for all your drywall mud and paint projects."

Excellent Job!

Jim was terrific to work with. He was extremely careful to make sure that everything went as we had planned. We live out of town so we were naturally a little concerned that the end result would be what we expected. But there was no reason to be concerned. Jim checked in with us daily and sent pictures each day as the job progressed. They used only top quality paint products and it was applied exactly as we had discussed with Jim.

We arrived a few days after Jims crew had finished the job and we couldn't have been more pleased. The house looked perfect. We couldn't find anything wrong or that needed to be corrected. Even the neighbors came over to tell us how wonderful it looked.

I would highly recommend Billionfold Paint to anyone looking for a painter. I wouldn't consider using anyone else and I know you wont be disappointed if you choose them too!

"We were looking for someone to do a remodel on a poor remodel job in our master bathroom and I got Deepwoods Construction from an online source. Andrew came out to our home and we reviewed what we wanted done and we came back with a prompt and reasonable estimate. He and his partner came out and did an excellent job of correcting the poor workmanship from the previous contractor. The job included removing a pocket door, revising the opening to a cased opening, adding sheet rock, new base and wall texture. I am very pleased with their work, great attitude and timely performance. I would not hesitate to recommend them. My best wishes to them in the future."

"Had to file a claim for new clothes dryer, and repairs on fridge. Foothills Star Appliance came to look at both. Eric was the repairman. He was friendly, answered all my questions, and very professional. I would highly recommend his company."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Regular dusting, occasional repainting, and avoiding harsh scrubbing preserve the finish.

Mudding drywall is a DIY-friendly project, but patience and practice are required for perfection. If you’re working in a highly visible area and want the best possible finish, hiring a professional drywaller is worth the cost. Pros have the tools and know-how to ensure a smooth surface with fewer sanding sessions and less cleanup.

The best tool for skim coating drywall is a skim coating blade, which can smooth out joint compound in wide stretches. While you could use a smaller drywall knife for skim coating, the smaller size means it’ll take longer to smooth out each section. Instead, consider investing in a skim coating blade for the quickest application.

When used correctly, drywall patch kits can work well. However, there are limitations. Specifically, these kits can only cover holes up to 5 inches in diameter. For anything larger than that, you’ll need to cut out the affected section of drywall and replace it with a new piece. That’s a far more complicated process that involves buying the right type of drywall, finding the wall studs, cutting into your wall, and screwing the replacement drywall in place.

Yes, it matters which side of drywall you use. One side is smooth, and the other is rough. The smooth side should be facing outward, toward the room, while the rough side should be hidden and facing the studs and framing of the house. The smooth side will be easier to apply tape, joint compound, and, later, paint to.
