"We hired Tom of Automated Communication to help us since we had an issue with the placement of the cable and power outlets in our wall cabinet that made it difficult to mount the TV arm flush against the wall. We originally hired the Best Buy Geek Squad to mount the new TV we bought from them on the full motion arm that they sold us. After trying two different mounting arms from Best Buy and two unsuccessful attempts by the Geek Squad we called Tom after finding his name on HomeAdvisor. Tom knew just what the situation required and was able to adapt the mounting arm we purchased flush against the wall without having to move the outlets that the Geek Squad said would be necessary. Tom was personable, punctual and efficient! We are very pleased with the result and highly recommend his service. His rate was very competitive with the Geek Squad pricing and he actually got the job done on the first try! He also helped us hook up a couple of other electronic devices to our stereo system on the same visit. Tom displayed a vast knowledge of electronic communication and home entertainment system devices including very cutting edge technology options. We will definitely use him in the future!"

"From the initial estimate, Jim was very helpful and informative.  He started and completed the work exactly as promised and gave me daily updates on the progress.  The attention to detail was amazing!  He had his crew actually clean up some paint splatters left by a prior handyman, so that no one would think that he did sloppy work!!  In addition, he had to pull grass and dirt away from my low deck to clean, prep, and paint the border around the deck that surrounds my entire house.  The paint he used left a beautiful satin finish that really freshened up the look of the house.  

When I asked if he knew someone who could help me install a rabbit fence around my deck to get rid of some resident raccoons, he said he would perform the labor for free as a signing bonus - and did a great job on it!!   No sign of the raccoons for over a week now and counting.  I would highly recommend Jim and his crew and will be hiring him again for routine deck cleaning and maintenance and other jobs that come up."

"The first tech could not do the job due to an extreme allergy to my cats. So the 2nd tech from Church Services was dispatched, he arrived the next day. (NOTE: I had expressed urgency because the circuit was on the refrigerator. Physically I could not move the refrigerator in order to plug in a temporary extension cord) The short was located & receptacle replaced.NOW comes the issue: It was my understanding that "Service Call Fee" of $45 was what I was expected to pay and because I have the Total Plan, I would NOT responsible for any additional fees ( "If we can't repair it, we'll replace it" from CHW TV ad). The tech insisted (rather condescendingly) that I pay additional $ for the work performed. He did not give me a receipt. When I asked for one, he said he would send by e-mail, He didn't. I tried to call the 24/7 phone number ...NO ONE ANSWERED."

"While they got the job done eventually and their customer services and techs were sweet, the company needs to be MUCH more crystal clear and upfront about a few things before they eagerly take payment. 1. This is not a company for novice clients as they only do work remotely and expect you to have all hardware properly installed before hand. So perhaps they should only sign up for software issues with clients like me who are hardware dummies. I had to struggle on my own for hours buying and trying to figure out where to plug items (again I am basically an old lady technophobe as they say). 2. They also don't make it clear that you are not scheduling an appt in the traditional sense but rather scheduling a position in a phone queue at say a time like 7 pm eastern. So you end up sitting by the phone at 7 pm for 45 minutes waiting for them to call (since apparently you are 10th in the queue). All this is fine, but it should be the first few things you bring up when someone works with you esp for 137 an hour as there are other local companies one can work with if they seek non remote service. In short, your people are great and sweet, but the upfront disclosure is lacking."
