I discovered that I had some extensive dry rot in my roof.  I was frantic. I needed to get the roof replaced fast.  I called about 8 contractors and left messages for them to call me back so that I could get a bid for repair and replacing my roof.  Only three  bothered to call me back and all 3 gave me a bid.  Two of the bidders said that they couldn't get on my roof until November or December.  I had never used Angie's List before but decided to check it out.  I looked through the listings for roofing contractors and read the reviews.  I decided to call Roof Tech Specialties even though they were located about 60 miles away.  I got ahold of Jamie Stepp.  He told me that he would come by at 1:00 the next day to give me a bid.  The next day at 12:30 he was considerate enough to  call  me to let me know that he would be about 45 minutes later than 1:00.  When he got there, he did a thorough inspection of my house and gave me a bid that was acceptable to me an my wife.  I asked him how soon they could get started.  He told me in two weeks.  I was elated.  A couple days later Jamie called me and asked if they could get started on  the next day.   WOW!!   The crew arrived on schedule and went right to work.  The job took 3 days and these were the hottest days of this Summer.  I supplied the crew with Ice water that was much needed.  I will have to say that all of the crew we really great.  Jamie over saw the work and worked along with the crew.  I am very pleased with the job that they did.  They cleaned up after themselves and there was not a trace of the old roofing left any where around my property.  I have a two and a half car garage that also needs a new roof and Jamie and his men are going to replace that roof soon.  I will certainly be recommending  Roof Tech Specialties to anyone else that I know that is needing a new roof.

"Rarely does a person find a service that rates above 5 stars. If it was possible, we would give James Roofing 10 stars for the work they did for us when they re-roofed our house. For us, what started out as a small leak in the ceiling turned out to be caused by other factors. Not only did the shingles start failing, but the roof was never properly installed when the house was originally built, and again 20 plus years ago, when it was re-roofed. James Roofing responded to our request for a estimate for the leak in a timely manner. Not only that, they arrived early and worked every day until the job was done. The initial estimate was for what appeared to be a problem for one section of the roof. On further inspection, they realized that the whole roof had some serious issues. Along with the shingles failure, it was never vented properly. James Roofing was very good at explaining what was wrong and what needed to be done. I believe their charges where very fair. Their crew was hard working and courteous. When it was all over, the house looked great. Their extra effort to clean up the debris was appreciated. "I'm in the process of a divorce and selling my home. It turned out the roof had to be replaced in order for homeowners insurance to provide coverage. I was not in a position to pay for this out of pocket. This company was willing to work with me to get the work done, even allowing me to make the deposit in payments and went out of their way to get it done quickly. When they started the work, they discovered a lot of the plywood sheets were rotten and there was no framing support around one corner of the roof. They had to reframe the whole section. The owner himself is a very kind man and is teaching his son the business so I got to meet him as well. I had estimates from two other companies that were several thousand dollars more than what the total cost ended up being with Romvil A1 Roofing & Remodeling LLC.
