A & B Septic Service

Kayla in the office was amazing. She tried to get us in as fast as possible. Jose was a pro when he showed up. He gave us all our options for repairs needed and let us know we still had a plug in the system. This company is amazing and I have recommended them to everyone I know that has a septic tank

I've used this company twice - May 2017, and Sept 2022. I would not recommend using this company to repair your septic system unless either they installed it or you are very familiar with your own system. May 2017, high-level alarm on sand filter. Cause - burned out effluent pump. They replaced the pump and the next day I got another high-level alarm. When I disconnected the pump discharge to the drain field, I very abruptly discovered that the pump discharge was very pressurized! I called a competing septic company, and they came out and found that I had broken pipes and clogged laterals to/in my drain field. The clogged pump discharge was the reason the first pump burned out and would have caused the replacement pump to burn out if it had not been repaired. In Sept 2022, I had a septic tank high level alarm. The cause was bad wiring splices between the floats and the pump controller. I told them to replace the bottom two floats because I knew they were getting old. They replaced the two floats and the system still did not operate correctly. After a two-hour conference call with their home office and "experts" they came to the conclusion that either my pump controller was bad, or the underground wiring to the septic tank was bad. Cost of repairs $500-$1,500. I got a multimeter from my garage and tested the two floats they had replaced and discovered they had installed normally closed circuit floats in my system that required normally open circuit floats. They replaced the NC floats with NO floats and the system operated normally. If I had not been present and knowledgeable of my own septic system, in both cases I could have paid $500-$1,500 in unneeded repairs. A&B is probably good at installing and servicing their own septic systems, but if you want them to repair a system they did not install, I would recommend that you do your homework! To their credit, they did only bill me for the 1 hour that it should have taken to replace the floats vice the 3 hours they were actually here

A AFFORDABLE SEPTIC SERVICE LLC

We sold our home and a septic inspection was needed. A Affordable did both the inspection and some minor follow up service that was needed. In both cases they actually arrived earlier than scheduled (having called for permission each time), and their service was first rate. After the repairs we discovered that their probing into the ground had punctured one of our underground sprinkler pipes, which they promptly fixed. Their communications are excellent. I highly recommend this service

SPEEDY SEPTIC

When the crew understood how concerned I was about the entire condition of the septic system, they took the time to explain to me every detail of what needed to be done, what they were doing at the time, and how the system would work with the pump when the project was completed. Every crew member was professional, courteous and skilled at what looked to me to be a complicated (and icky) job. I received multiple phone calls to ensure I knew when they were coming and what was to be done. There were no surprises for me, and I can flush with confidence thanks to them knowing that my brand new tank and pump are installed 100% correctly. (It easily passed county inspection.) This was an excellent experience, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat

They are good. He came promptly and he was nice. He found the septic tank which everybody said they knew where it was, but nobody did really. He came and got it done in winter. I went and stood there when he emptied the whole thing out. He came when I needed it. Everything was good and everything was fine. He gave me a few pointers. Usually people scare you about those septic systems. But he was calm amidst the storm because everybody was going crazy about septic systems

Initially, our lines appeared to be clogged. Starting with the easiest solution first, we called in the evening for a septic pump. They scheduled a time the very next day, and about a 1/2 hour out, the driver called to say he was coming. The driver pumped the tank and spent significant time checking to see why the toilets weren't flushing after the pumping. He directed my excavation and helped to discover a broken pipe. He called his office and explained specifically what was going on, and what they needed. He also helped identify what I could do with my backhoe to save money. He navigated our driveway with a very big truck - one of the only ones to do so without ripping it up. The next day, they juggled the schedule to send out technicians so that I wouldn't miss a late afternoon business meeting. They instructed me in the excavation of the remaining pipe in question and quickly repaired it. I know for a fact that one of the technicians had an important event to attend to, but instead, they didn't skip this last appointment even though they were running later than they'd expected. They did call to say so. I was very impressed, to say the least. We've used this company for years as they initially saved us about $2100 when Rescue Rooter was attempting to hold us for ransom. I would unequivocally say that they do what is in the customer's best interest - a rarity these days

They were able to replace a small section of my septic box to leech field pipe, saving me hundreds of dollars versus replacing the whole thing.

"They pumped out my septic tank, but they failed to rinse off and check the baffles in the tank before they closed it up. One was clogged up and it backed up the system, made a mess and lots of work for us diagnosing and fixing the problem."

"Fantastic! This was honestly one of the smoothest remodels/contractor service I have ever experienced. Dorson was very communicative, and up front about the time/and services. Project was on budget, he gave us different choices and also took time to explain the differences between them. We got daily updates about our job, including pictures and brief descriptions of the days work, which was incredibly helpful while teaching me things that will be helpful in the future. Jackson Construction wasn't the cheapest, however they focus on quality, and this was definitely true for our job. Every job/remodel will have hiccups, but he made sure everything went right, fixed any errors and has a great sense of time. the estimate on how long the job would take was very close to reality, and shockingly reliable, which also speaks to the quality of his work and subcontractors. Would definitely hire again.

"I cannot say enough good things about these guys. We needed a re-piping and they sent Kyle to help us out. Kyle was actually specifically referred to me by our neighbors and this man was the real deal. From the estimate to actual completion of work, Kyle was on time, hard working, communicative, knowledgable, and extremely accomodating to our schedule and needs. He made a seemingly painful process, well, painless. Re-piping ones house is expensive and invasive - it was not something any of us were looking forward to. Kyle knocked it out in about a week and did stellar work. He's a pretty cool guy on top of that. My wife and I would abosultely recommend Rescue Rooter for any plumbing needs. Thanks, Kyle!

"We hired them to take out a toilet and replace it with a new one. The job was completed and the new toilet is in working condition. To make the job easier for them we placed any items around the area into the shower since our bathroom is small. This way they wouldn't have to move anything. Unfortunately, when the plumber removed the old toilet he set it on top of these items and it made a mess of the shower and these items. This wasn't just a water mess either. Everything was soaked in diluted urine. He was at our home for less than an hour and charged for an hour and a half. Thankfully, this company seems to be honest and they were willing to make this right. They adjusted the bill to reflect one hour of work instead of the one and half the plumber had claimed. We didn't ask for any compensation for the mess. I think this was a case of one bad seed in a company of good stature. Forbes Plumbing seems to come highly recommended in our area. I appreciate the fact that they were willing to fix their mistake and would hire them again; however, I would be sure to ask for a different plumber.
Replacing a drain field requires digging up quite a bit of land and involves a decent amount of testing. Using this guide, you’ll learn how much it costs to replace a drain field based on a few key factors such as size and type of septic system.
If you’re wondering whether it’s safe to grow plants over your septic tank, the answer is yes, as long as you stick with plants that have shallow root systems to avoid damaging the septic system. Learn the best plants to install over a septic tank.
Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.
How often should a septic tank be serviced?
Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.
What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?
Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.
How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?
Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.
How much does it cost to install a septic system?
Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.
How long does a septic system last?
Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
