In spite of adverse conditions with rain and poor soil content. Harley did a great job getting the work done and inspections approved without a hitch. He work around my inexperience as a general contractor and getting the plumbing attached with great patience. Thank you Harley

Started a little rough since they needed a tripod to remove the septic lid and didn't have one. The rest of it was fine. They were on time and professional.

I went to their web site and used their "Contact Us" link on the site to request they call me to set an appointment. 2 weeks went by with no response. I called them on Friday morning and set an appointment for 9:00 am on Saturday. The service truck arrived promptly and got to work. The driver "Sir" reported after pumping the tanks, that the inflow and outflow baffles were both corroded and no longer functional and recommended replacing them both at a cost of $200 each. One was replaced before he left and he said that he needed to go by their shop and pick up the other piece that was a different size, but would be back that day to finish the job. He returned around 4:00 that afternoon, finished the job and left

Tech was prompt and courteous, good sense of humor, and didn't waste time. I had the tank access dug up when he arrived; he helped me dig up the distribution box which was also plugged up. He replaced the cast iron baffles and recommended jetting the drain lines which given the condition of the distribution box appeared necessary; a different employee did that the following day. Overall very pleased. I thought the price for replacing the two baffles was a little steep ($400 for two PVC baffles, about 15 minutes work) but he had the necessary experience and protective gear, and I sure didn't want to get down in the tank

The representative, Terry, did an excellent job. He answered all questions and had a very positive attitude about a very dirty job. He was very professional. The experience was a positive one, from the helpful office staff to the actual work done.

I'd give them an A rating. They are a little expensive, but they do extremely good work. I've used them two times before. It probably took them about 2 hours.

The tanker showed up on time and ready to go. They opened it, showed me everything I was curious about, including how to check the level myself. They described my tank and field to the best of their ability, based on their experiences. The tank took extra time to empty, over the one hour labor they allocate for the normal job. The cleaner charged me only an extra $30 for the extra 15 minutes. I was able to pay with a credit card. Very professional, very friendly, very experienced. Highly recommended

Septic Tank Service FAQ

  1. What are the signs your septic tank is full?

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.

  2. How often should a septic tank be serviced?

Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.

  3. What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?

Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.

  4. How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?

Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.

  5. How much does it cost to install a septic system?

Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

  6. How long does a septic system last?

Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
