"Jason arrived on time identified the issue and remedied it quickly. He had to crawl under the house a couple of times and pop back into the garage a few more times. The washer drain pipe had been improperly installed, he aligned it, glued it and accomplished this in an hour. He was very pleasant, informative and knowledgeable. I was impressed by his professionalism and will not hesitate to reach out to NW Sundance Services in the future. Thanks Jason."

"wonderful job. Joe H. was so very helpful and courteous. Not only did he do what we had asked, but he discovered that the supply line to our recently installed new dishwasher (not installed by D&F) was leaking and fixed it free of charge."

"When John came to the house, one of the rollers coincidentally broke apart. John advised that because of the weight of the 16 foot wood door, I needed heavy duty steel wheel rollers that he did not have on hand (rather than plastic wheel rollers) and rescheduled to install them. He came back and installed the rollers, tightened and lubricated the hinges and advised on general maintenance."

"We just love Pacific Northwest Cabinetry. Hesitant to hire a cabinet company, my DIY husband was quickly won over and hugely confident in the decision after meeting owner, Peter Schraner. Beginning in 2008, three times now, each one a charm, we have had a delightful, transforming experience with them; first with our kitchen, next our master bath and yesterday, our guest bath vanity was installed. Each time, each day with them was pleasant and after all the work was completed, it felt as though Cinderella's fairy godmother spun us around and whoosh we had a sparkling new room! Whether it's a big project or small vanity cabinet only, each project is treated like it's your most important jewel. They are all such nice people...the cherry on top of their talent, skill and excellence. I could just keep gushing! :)!"

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Rats are nocturnal creatures, meaning they are most active at night, typically from late evening through the early morning. They use the cover of darkness to explore, forage for food, and find water, as they feel safer and can avoid daytime predators and human activity. Their sharp senses, including keen night vision and hearing, are well-suited for navigating in the dark. Because they prefer to stay hidden during the day in secluded areas like walls or attics, you are more likely to spot signs of their presence—such as droppings or gnaw marks—before you see an actual rat.

Scented mouse deterrents, like peppermint oil, can be effective in the short term. The pungent smells may temporarily repel mice, but they lose effectiveness as the scent fades or mice get used to it. The main drawbacks are frequent reapplication and the fact that these deterrents don't address the root cause of the infestation, such as entry points or food sources. While they can be part of a broader strategy, scented deterrents alone are rarely enough to eliminate a mouse problem.

The best deterrents for possums include securing trash cans with tight-fitting lids, removing outdoor food sources like pet food or fallen fruit, and trimming tree branches that provide access to your roof or an open window. Motion-activated lights or sprinklers can also startle and discourage them from visiting. Additionally, you can take advantage of their strong sense of smell by using garlic, onion, or commercial possum repellents to keep them off your property.

Consumer-brand foggers or bug bombs are considered safe overall. Still, it's essential to read the instructions carefully as the vacating time varies depending on the type of bug bomb you use. Most of the time, it's advised that all humans and pets are out of the area for at least two to four hours after initiating the fogger process. It's also a good idea to vent the space by cracking open some windows for several hours after you're back inside.

Always begin by removing the gnat's source of food. Toss rotting fruit, place new fruit in the fridge, and switch the soil of your houseplants.

The best way to get rid of gnats in the kitchen is by baiting and trapping them with something sweet. Combine water with a few drops of dish soap, apple cider vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of sugar into a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and poke small holes to trap the gnat in the liquid.
