"I work for an agency that provides home improvements or needed repairs for disabled persons, from installing walk-in showers, complete bathroom remodels, wheelchair ramps, to smaller home repairs. I have worked with In Your Home for over seven years. They are always very quick to respond for requests for estimates. Often times when they were the higher estimate, they were still awarded the job because of the proposal, how it was written up, and that it showed it was best for the consumer. In Your Home has completed so many jobs for our agency over the years and the reviews by our consumers are always excellent! Not only is the work very high quality but their interactions with the consumers is wonderful. I hear nothing but great reviews from our consumers and trust me, there are a lot!"

"The whole experience with 3 Mountains Plumbing was outstanding from Nicole at the office to Jon Marc and Peter, the plumbers. They originally scheduled me for an appointment 5 days out, but Nicole watched appointments carefully and moved my appointment to the same day I called. Jon Marc, the plumber, was very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me different options, which allowed me to decide what worked best for me. He even gave me a teacher discount. After installing my water heater at 8:00 p.m. at night, he discovered a manufacturing problem with the water heater. He called another plumber, Peter. Peter was going off shift and was at the office, but got another water heater and brought it to my house so Jon Marc could install it! I think other plumbers would have said that they needed to come back the next day, but Jon Marc stayed until 10:00 p.m. installing the water heater. I will never use another plumbing company because 3 Mountains is the best! Nicole, Peter and Jon Marc... Thank you!"

"We called several HVAC companies for our ductless mini split, but Aviator was the only one that responded quickly. They fixed the issue the next day and saved us from replacing the whole system. Excellent service!"

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

While there are many types of wood-eating pests, the most common one in the United States is termites. They are found in every state and are typically worse in warm and humid climates. They cause billions of dollars in damage every year, which is why it’s vital that homeowners address infestations as soon as possible.

When it comes to keeping birds from doing their business on your porch rails, you have several DIY options and home remedies you can try:

  • Tie a fishing line from one end of the deck post to the other. Birds won’t be able to see the line across the railing, so they can’t land on it.

  • Hang wind chimes close by, which may scare birds away.

  • Apply a bird gel repellent to the railings, which contains smells that birds generally don’t like. Or, similarly, you can apply citronella or lemon oil around the railings, since birds don’t like strong smells.

Ticks love to hide in long grass, mulch beds, leaf piles, and wooded areas, so minimizing these things in your yard can help stop them from making a home there. If you live in an area with lots of wildlife, it's also helpful to put up a fence so that deer and other animals don't bring ticks into your yard.

A combination of traps, baits, and exclusion techniques effectively manage rodent populations.

Consumer-brand foggers or bug bombs are considered safe overall. Still, it's essential to read the instructions carefully as the vacating time varies depending on the type of bug bomb you use. Most of the time, it's advised that all humans and pets are out of the area for at least two to four hours after initiating the fogger process. It's also a good idea to vent the space by cracking open some windows for several hours after you're back inside.
