"Our HOA hired Technology First LLC ( Jamar Lampkin) to install a Lorex 6 camera security system on our brick masonry building. This involved positioning the NVR in a computer closet , running POE Cat 6 cable to 6 different locations on the exterior and garage areas of our building. It was complicated by the height that cameras needed to be positioned, running of conduit required , as well as having to install through concrete and brick. The job ended up taking longer than anticipated because of these complications, but Jamar did well responding to these issues. In the end the installation was done very professionally, and I am very pleased with the installation. Since we just completed the job, I cannot comment completely on the camera system itself , but I am confident that it will work as planned. If you are thinking about installing a video security system on your building; I would highly recommend Technology First LLC and Jamar Lampkin."

"I needed to swap my security camera network out for a new one, and had some specific requirements that Iâ  d compiled from several years of experience with using security cameras. Efficient Communication Solutions responded quickly to my request for information on the services they provide. Don, one of the co-owners, visited and listened carefully to my wish-list for a new system. We went through many options and configurations and found one that met my needs for a reasonable price for the equipment and installation. The two-person crew who did the actual installation were great. James and Jacob came prepared, did top notch work with installing all the cabling and cameras, all while being a delight to work with. There were no corners cut, no sloppy work, they paid careful attention to details, and the final result is a neat, professional installation. The NVR configuring was completed and tested, and they explained the settings and usage clearly. The scheduling of the installation was less than 2 weeks out after signing a contract and the work was done in just over 3 days. I want to also mention that James and Jacob were very careful when around my cats, not letting them outside, and not scaring or disturbing them. Their efforts were greatly appreciated. On a scale of 1 to 10, the work ECS did on this system was a solid 10. There is a catio/sunroom project in the works, and after itâ  s completed, I will be using ECS to install additional cameras around the new structure - no question about who I will call to do the work."

"I had recently switched to fiber and wanted their higher speeds. That required a cat6 cable, which I had cat5 installed in the house. I put feelers out through Angi and J's Technical Service reached out. He said this should be an hour job, but wanted to come out to verify. Upon the site visit, he said it'd be 2 hours. At that point. I agreed to the work. He's a nice guy and everything works, but there were just few bumps along the way. - Texted at time of original appointment he was running 30min late. - Job was verbally suggested 1 hour, physically quoted 2 hours but ended up taking 3 hours, and it would have gone into 4 hours if we wanted to test it. He wasn't sure if he had cat6 Ethernet cables and we didn't want to pay another hour, so we went to get them days later after the install to then begin use it. - Quote/website doesn't give accepted payment options. I do recommend, but there's some opportunities to grow their small business."

"We had three very competitive bids including Classic Pro. We were impressed with the details that were covered in the bid, so that many of our concerns were addressed up front. Then Dave Friesen was conscientious about following up and answering the questions we had, e.g., how much attention would be paid to prep, paint quality (we ended up using Benjamin Moore, which Dave felt was the best), timing, care about landscaping, etc. We were so confident in Dave that we picked the main color and asked him to choose the trim and detail--he made wonderful suggestions that we approved. People stop by all of the time and ask us about colors and contractor. Everything worked as Dave promised, and since we weren't able to have a new garage door installed during the week he painted, he came back later on a weekend to complete the job. It's great to do business with a company president like Dave. It's too bad he's not running the country."

"Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."
