"Mongold junk removal was referred to me by a family member. I recently inherited some rental properties and 2 of them needed a lot of junk removed. The first unit was cleared out by a well known Junk removal service. I had several bags of trash and a garage full of nasty furniture. The first did a good job and loaded a truckload of junk taking about an hour. The cost was about $1000. The second unit was packed to the walls with trash, old furniture, several mattress sets and appliances. The place was full of roaches. Mongold worked from early morning until after dark with a crew of 3 men. They tore down a makeshift wall the tenants had nailed to furniture and the floor. The unit was a full gut job and they were even able to remove the disgusting carpet. In all they hauled out 4 full truckloads. The work was 10 times more than their competitor and the cost far less in comparison. I highly recommend this people as they were very prompt and did a job above and beyond my expectations."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

To clean an estate, start by locating all important documents, which you’ll need to sort through. Have the mail forwarded, change the locks, and take inventory of the entire estate. Once you know what you’re dealing with, create a plan and a timeline for the cleanout. Start clearing out rooms and sorting items to donate, sell, or get rid of. Finally, deep clean the property.

The most cost-effective approach to land clearing is DIY-ing what you can, such as removing brush, small saplings, and other more manageable tasks. Then, contact a tree cutting pro to finish the job for the larger vegetation and trees on your property. Get multiple quotes, look for off-season discounts, and scope out all your options to keep things as budget-friendly as possible.

If you choose to break down a piano on your own, a 10-yard dumpster should be large enough to hold the individual parts. Keep in mind that junk haulers may not allow you to place a whole piano in a rollaway dumpster, but this will depend on the company, your contract, and local laws. That being said, choosing the right dumpster size will save you from the headache of over-filling the container during your cleanout.

To calculate how many dumpsters you need for your disposal project, take a close look at the number of items you’ll be disposing of and estimate or measure the total in cubic yards. From there, you can have the dumpster rental company inform you of their dumpsters’ capacities to determine how many you need.

Parts of a mattress that can be recycled include the metal springs, wood frame, foam, and some fibers like cotton or wool that may be found in the fabric. Not all recycling centers accept mattresses, so call ahead. Alternatively, some mattress manufacturers take used mattresses for recycling.
