"They showed up earlier than they said they would be here, and got right to work. They weedeated and mowed the back yard which was waist high grass. They bagged up all the lawn trimmings and bagged them, leaving them neatly stacked out front. They also mowed and weedeated the front yard, which wasn't part of the initial quote, for no extra cost. Fast, efficient and professional and would definitely use this service again."

Waste Removal Services questions, answered by experts

For most homeowners, renting a dumpster is the more cost-effective choice, especially for short-term projects like renovations or cleanouts, as it saves you from a significant upfront cost. Buying a dumpster can be more cost-efficient if you need it for a long-term project or run a commercial business, such as a construction company, that constantly handles large volumes of trash.

Some flushable wipes companies say they are designed to disintegrate within a few hours to a few days after being flushed. These wipes allegedly use materials that are more water-soluble than traditional wipes. However, many experts have raised concerns that even so-called "flushable" wipes do not break down as easily as claimed and can contribute to clogs and blockages in sewer systems.

To prevent plumbing and sewer problems, avoid flushing wipes, even those labeled as flushable. Instead, dispose of them in the trash. This can help prevent costly plumbing issues and reduce the strain on wastewater treatment systems.

To cut up a couch for disposal, remove the cushions and fabric first. Then, grab a utility knife to slice the upholstery and expose the frame. Afterward, cut through wood or metal with a handsaw or reciprocating saw. Next, break the couch down into manageable pieces for easier transport and to meet local trash guidelines.

The majority of general contractors include junk and trash removal in their contracts, but services vary. As the homeowner, you may need to manage tricky items on your own, such as disposing of laminate flooring in an eco-conscious way or by arranging for appliance pickup with your local waste management service.

Environmental considerations include preventing leaks, avoiding soil contamination, and ensuring proper disposal of all tank materials in an eco-friendly manner.
