"They where early and fixed three outlets, and fixed my microwave cord. They even checked the electrical lines in the attic. They also fixed what the prior electric company did not fix the day before. The price was $250 dollars. Cheaper than other electrical companies quotes."

"Jesse Hendricks is my go-to for everything electric! He is the best electrician I have ever been associated with. After dealing with others, Jesse sets the bar for professionalism, expertise and friendly service. Mr. Sparky is simply the best way to get electrical work done. You know how much it will cost, get the work done promptly and they clean up afterwards. What else could I ask for? I ask for Jesse every time and it is like having an old friend solving your electrical problem. I would never go anywhere else!"

"I recently hired Mapleleaf Electric for an electrical upgrade in my home, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their service. From start to finish, they demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a commitment to quality work. Their team arrived on time, thoroughly assessed the project, and explained everything clearly before getting started. The electricians were highly skilled, efficient, and respectful of my home, ensuring everything was completed safely and up to code. They even took the time to clean up afterward, leaving no mess behind. What really stood out was their attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was working perfectly, and their pricing was fair and transparent—no hidden fees or surprises. If you’re looking for a reliable, honest, and skilled electrical company, Mapleleaf Electric is the best choice. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

It is possible to change a light fixture by only flipping the light switch, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Exercising extra caution when working with electricity is always important. Take the extra few minutes at your electrical box to cut the power at the circuit breaker. Once you’ve flipped the circuit breaker and the light switch, use a voltage tester to confirm the power has been turned off.

Leaving lights on raises the electric bill, but not as much as having high-wattage light bulbs. The best way to save on electric costs is to swap your light bulbs to LED or CFL bulbs that use far fewer watts. You can also use smart lights and light switches to control usage via a smartphone or voice-controlled device.

Choosing a unit with higher BTUs can use more electricity if the BTUs are more than what’s necessary for your room size. However, choosing an AC with BTUs that match the size of your room or house, your unit will cool your space efficiently. On the flip side, choosing a system with not enough BTUs can cause the system to work harder to try to cool the space, leading to more electricity consumption and higher energy bills.

A 100 amp electrical service panel can't convert into a 200 amp panel simply by switching the breakers or adding circuits. Upgrading from 100 to 200 amps typically requires replacing the circuit box and updating the electrical service coming into the house. Your electrician will handle the details of the project to ensure a safe and thorough installation.

The average lifespan of a home electrical system is anywhere from 30 to 70 years or more, depending on the type of system you have. Modern electrical wiring, like aluminum or copper, can last 50 to 70 years while older types may need to be replaced sooner. Additionally, circuit breakers tend to last anywhere from 30 to 40 years, while electrical outlets need to be replaced every 10 to 25 years.
