"I have a Samsung dryer that started squeaking. I initially reached out to Samsung about having a technician come and look at it. After four days of calls that never actually went through and being told that I had to pay $140.00 before they would even schedule a time to come look at my dryer, I went on Angi and found Cincinnati Restaurant and Home Appliance Repair. Not five minutes after sending in a request I received a call with a technician ready and available to come in less than 24 hours. Not only was he cordial and easy to talk to on the phone, he came prepared with parts to get my dryer up and running in no time at all, and the cost was very reasonable. This was some of the best service I have ever received for a home appliance and I will definitely reach out to this company again with any future needs. Also, if your appliances are all original to the home or are older and require increasing amounts of maintenance and repair, replacing them all at the same time may be a good option.
In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
