"The serviceman who arrived for the job, Richie, was extremely friendly, courteous and professional. He called ahead, arrived on time and was very thorough in checking and re-lighting my furnace. He communicated very well what needed to be done for the inspection and even showed me step-by-step how to light the pilot myself for future reference—great info to know! He also gave me an estimate on-the-spot for a leaky valve that should eventually be replaced. (I should also mention that I contacted several other heating companies before I lucked upon K & K. I was in a “no heat” situation and the other businesses either failed to respond or said they didn’t service my “type” of furnace). Richie, however, arrived confident, ready to work, was experienced with my brand of boiler furnace and assured me that I’d have heat again in no time. "The installation took only one day and a few hours the next day. Both indoor and outdoor spaces were well protected as they worked. Did a great job of cleaning up afterwards also. I love my new mini split system. I kept my temperature at 74° this summer and it cooled my entire first floor plus the dehumidification was extremely effective. Now I just turned on the mini split heat function so that I do not yet have to crank up my boiler. It is very effectively and quickly taking the chill out of my first floor living area. I am a very happy customer! I used to use two window air conditioners, one in my living room and the other in my dining room. My electric bill while running my new mini split air conditioner nonstop was almost half of what my electric bill was the last year! "Everything went terrific! I'd had a concern as all ductwork and piping for the dryer vent are above the Sheetrock ceiling in the basement. He explained he'd cut an opening in both the main supply and return ducts and install a patch at conclusion which was done. He was extremely neat and put all furniture back where it had been. He cleaned the dryer piping completely as well as the inside of the dryer. I would definitely recommend this company as they did a commendable job. I had gotten this contractor through an Angie's List Big Deal, well worth the cost, unlimited supply and return vents."

"Jim was in the area here in Nashville, and I spoke with him about my computer. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything computer related, and seemed very familiar with the problems I described having with my computer.  I also had a very old fax machine that I was manually having to scan documents and fax them, over and over again. Sometimes, even the same ones. Jim advised me on what kind of printer to get, as well as what type wireless network to get and even went with me to Staples to purchase the items (That was over and beyond the call of duty in my opinion). I am a business owner for a trucking logistics company, and my computer is my livelihood, so I really trusted that Jim would get my system working, and help me with my scanning and faxing issues.



Jim arrived on time, and got to work right away.  He took the time unbox my printer, set it up for me, he also set up my wireless network, and the entire time he helped me understand exactly what was going on.  He showed me how to set up my wireless, how to make changes to it, he even went through the manual on the printer with me, and showed me how I could scan documents directly to my computer and save them....and then just fax them out all from my computer!  He then started cleaning out some of the toolbars and bad software I had inadvertently installed, then he ran the virus scanner, still showing me how to do it myself, and explaining to me how I could avoid these issues in the future.  I have to say I have never had such excellent customer service from a computer repair person. He removed the viruses, and even offered to put a remote software package on so that if I ever have any problems in the future, he could access my machine remotely, and help me fix them, essentially saving me the cost and time for the future.



I would HIGHLY recommend Jim and North Alabama Technical Services for any and all computer work. Jim was an absolute pleasure to work with, and again, I've never felt so well taken care of with my computer issues before. If I could give him all A+'s I would.  I have seen a recent review that mentions that he takes advantage of businesses, but he only charged me $75 and gave way more than that in service. I really appreciate him for all he did for me.

"All of these things were damaged when a large limb fell from my oak tree. I received a insurance claim check for $850. The estimate I received from another company to repair and replace the chain link was over $600.
A few years ago, Jaime did some repair work on my parent's house and did a nice job at a fair price. When I needed an estimate for my own place I called Jamie.
He was prompt, gave me a fair estimate and scheduled the work.
The construction of the shed I purchased was more involved than he had planned. The shed included a metal interior frame with plastic sides, floor, roof (with skylight). The one I originally had in mind was not in stock and did not have a metal frame. He charged an additional $125 for the extra time it took to put together, which I thought was fair.
The chain link looks like new. He replaced the siding in no time flat with a piece of scrap I had kept from the original installation.
The job took him and another worker a full day to complete and they returned early the next day to remove the scrap from the old shed. He double checked the lawn for nails and metal debris.
I would hire him again.
