"We were very pleased from the beginning presentation to the gas line install and all the way through to the furnace and air conditioning install. This was all accomplished during the very cold and snowy weather. The owner even called me on his vacation to ensure that everything was going according to our expectations. My wife and I would strongly recommend this company.

"Jim Farrell and North Alabama Technical Services rebuilt my computer and provided me with everything I expected and so much more.  He provided the various options in equipment, including specs and pricing, answered all our questions and helped us make the best decision for our purchases.  The computer was completed in a few days, far less than expected, the installation included clear directions for use.  The package also included a good warranty for the equipment.  I was extremely pleased with his service and would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone with computer service needs."

"Out of the three contractors I had come to my house, All Season's Heating and Cooling was straight forward with work that needed to be done. They gave me a reasonable price upfront with no hidden cost. They scheduled me in timely, and completed the install in one day. The employees were very professional and curtious. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need for heating and cooling issues. I have a federal pacific panel box, I didn't know the danger that could potentially happen with my current panel box. They informed me they also do other work electrical, plumbing. They'll be coming back to update my panel box. Grateful for their knowledge and informing me of the danger that my current panel box could cause"

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Due to fuel line connections and venting complexity, professional installation is required for safety and efficiency.

The best way to compare HVAC quotes is getting a few detailed quotes from local companies with good reputations. Then, go over the quotes line by line. Protect yourself by insisting on in-person estimates that include equipment manufacturer names, model numbers, SEER ratings, amounts and numbers of materials, details of warranties on equipment and labor, and other specifics.

Knowing the exact equipment and materials is the only way that you can fairly compare quotes. Quotes that are much lower than others can be a sign that the company isn’t providing the best quality service or materials.

DIY is not recommended due to safety risks and technical expertise required. Hire licensed professionals.

The right type of HVAC system will depend on several factors, including your climate, budget, preferences, and existing HVAC setup. For example, if you live in an area that experiences extreme weather, then a split system would likely be the best option. Or, if budget is a concern, consider installing a ductless system in just one room.

The best time of year to purchase or replace an HVAC system, including components like an air conditioner or furnace, is during the off-season—spring and fall. During these periods, HVAC professionals are less busy than in summer and winter, when extreme temperatures create urgent demand. Shopping during the off-season can lead to savings of 10% to 15% on an AC unit and allows you more time to find the best deal and other cost-saving incentives. Typically, air conditioning units go on sale in the fall after demand drops, while furnace prices tend to decrease in the spring.
