"We were very pleased from the beginning presentation to the gas line install and all the way through to the furnace and air conditioning install. This was all accomplished during the very cold and snowy weather. The owner even called me on his vacation to ensure that everything was going according to our expectations. My wife and I would strongly recommend this company.

"Arrived on time, was professional.  Performed all the service neatly and with care.  Spotted a problem with a bathroom vent, installed backwards, and fixed it for a fee.  I am interested to see if I have fewer dust bunnies all over the house.  Time will tell.

"Jim Farrell and North Alabama Technical Services rebuilt my computer and provided me with everything I expected and so much more.  He provided the various options in equipment, including specs and pricing, answered all our questions and helped us make the best decision for our purchases.  The computer was completed in a few days, far less than expected, the installation included clear directions for use.  The package also included a good warranty for the equipment.  I was extremely pleased with his service and would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone with computer service needs."

"I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They were nice people, but I saw after they did the job that there was a tear in my dryer vent. As far as I can recall they were prompt."

"Out of the three contractors I had come to my house, All Season's Heating and Cooling was straight forward with work that needed to be done. They gave me a reasonable price upfront with no hidden cost. They scheduled me in timely, and completed the install in one day. The employees were very professional and curtious. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in need for heating and cooling issues. I have a federal pacific panel box, I didn't know the danger that could potentially happen with my current panel box. They informed me they also do other work electrical, plumbing. They'll be coming back to update my panel box. Grateful for their knowledge and informing me of the danger that my current panel box could cause"

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

An expansion tank must always be installed on the supply side, which is the side where the boiler sends water out to heat the systems. That placement allows the water to push against the air and condense properly as it is heated, then circulated through the system. Professional installers can recommend the best place on the supply side for an expansion tank.

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

Costs range from $3,000 to $7,500, depending on system size and efficiency.

A common HVAC rule is that for every 500 to 600 square feet of living space, you need 1 ton of heating or cooling capacity. Now that you know this common rule, you also need to know that it isn’t very accurate, and a dedicated pro wouldn’t use it for your home. If you talk to a pro who won’t or can’t perform a proper Manual J calculation, consider hiring someone more thorough.

To figure out if your boiler is worth repairing or if you need to replace your boiler, first figure out how old the unit is. Boilers last 15 to 20 years, so if your unit is 15 years old or older, it may be better to replace the entire thing depending on the severity of the problems. If it’s not quite that old, then it’s probably worth repairing. Another thing to consider is whether your warranty covers any of the repair costs. If so, it may be worthwhile to repair your boiler to keep it running.
