"We needing to replace a broken furnace in our new home recently (11/22/2021). Our home warranty would not cover it because the owner Scott told them it didn't work at all (the heat exchange was cracked) and the unit still powered on and the blower worked. However because he told them that they would not cover it. This was the start of winter so I had no choice but to have the unit financed so they would replace it at my expense instead of going through the home warranty. I paid $4k for a unit that pushes about 1/2 the BTU of my old unit and from what I can tell sells for about $1,500. It isn't even rated for the area its covering. Then it took hit "technicians almost an entire day to install it and get the thermostat working. They eventually had to call what seemed to be a senior tech over to help them. Once it was done we realized a few weeks later that we were smelling stagnant air from the basement and I examined the area and found they had cut out and removed the return duct and never reinstalled it on the new unit. So it was pulling air from the basement and our return was CUT out with the support pieces still hanging and a big hole in the basement duct. I called to get the return put back in and was told Scott would need to take a look. He came out and weeks later had still not called me to setup getting the work done. I called back again and they got ahold of Scott and he quoted me like 1800 or something stupid. This install was not just improper but has been deemed unsafe by the county inspector. Thye have been notified to fix this immedietly to be code compliant and be able to use it again. As of about 2 weeks ago we still have not heard from them about when they will resolve this."

"Last year I wanted to install a new digital thermostat in my house. I bought the thermostat I wanted from Amazon. I called Sal's Heating & Cooling, Plumbing & Sewer to see if they could do this under a Groupon offer. They said they could, so I bought a Groupon For Sal's Heating & Cooling, Plumbing & Sewer for a service call plus one hour of labor. When I called back to make the appointment with Sal's, they said there would be an additional several hundred dollar charge for the thermostat. This was not revealed on the initial call. needless to say, I used a different company. But, I was still stuck with a Groupon that I could not use. So, last week a laundry drain backed up and I thought I would use the Groupon for Sal's. I called Sal's to see if they would honor the Groupon and would be able to do the job. They said yes and yes. When the technician got to the house, he said it would be an additional $350 to clean the drain. Sal's said the Groupon was good only for a house call and 1 hour of troubleshooting. The Groupon says o1 hour of labor. I will never use Sal's Heating & Cooling, Plumbing & Sewer company for anything. I would recommend you NEVER use Sal's Heating & Cooling, Plumbing & Sewer for any reason. They are unscrupulous at best!"

"When I first had this company do small projects for me, I was impressed with the work, however, as the projects kept being done, he was always in such a hurry. He had so many customers to handle, he did not have time to really do a good job. He replaced a vanity in a bathroom, and cracked the drain pipe (2 inch crack). It was left. It began to leak and ruined my ceiling in my living room. So now all the plumbing and ceiling need replaced at my cost. He installed bead board on another bathroom along with trim. It was the worst job I have ever seen. I sat down and cried after he left. Again at my out-of-pocket costs, I now have a beautiful bathroom installed properly. He needs to be up front with customers that his scope of work does not include plumbing, electrical or fine carpentry. Horrible job..."

"I emailed Torpedo Heat several times about the problems that I was having with a heater that I had purchased used from someone. He emailed back and gave some suggestions on what to do, I explained to him I had seen his you tube videos and was still having problems. I called him and described what was happening with my heater, explained that everything he told me to do worked for the first few cycles of the heater then it started to malfunction again. He explained to me the heater I had was a very old heater and that most of the parts were not available any more. I explained that I had bought parts online from other sources, then he figured out over the phone after I told him what parts I purchased. That the parts were indeed the wrong parts for my heater, they look the same but were not compatible with my heater(I should have him first). Torpedo Heat is a very knowledgeable about these heaters, in my gut I knew he was the right man to fix my heater. He is an honest man and cares about doing right by his customers, anyone who needs to have a heater worked on parts ordered or bought through him he will more than gladly help you out. With that being said, I would not hesitate to call him or have him work on my heater again as he did on 1/21/2018. He got me back up and running with my heater. "So glad we called Budget when our 30-year-old furnace stopped working. This was on a Tuesday. They were at our home in a couple hours to evaluate the problem. Since the required part was expensive and considering the age of our furnace, we decided to buy a new furnace, which they installed on Thursday. All of the Budget people and technicians were great, the installation went smoothly, and we're very happy with Budget and our new furnace."
