"I hired Ben and Brian to build a sizable addition to my house(extend kitchen, laundry powder room, add bedroom, bathroom, mud room). I encountered multitude of issues while working with them. Note: they have very good attorney that is Brian's relative. Here are some of the facts: 1. Project completion took 11 months instead of promised 5. 2. Improper framing modification caused walls on the second floor to shift. Door openings became distorted and cracks in the corners appeared 3. Water is leaking between the walls and newly installed gutters. 4. Newly installed hardwood floors (3/4 sick Brazilian Cherry) are squeaking and moving in many spots. One piece is completely loose (no nails at all). 5. They refused to install shower doors despite drawing clearly showing them. I have a $3000 estimate of the to fix put walls per drawing and hang the doors. 6. A/C ducts were sized improperly."

The entire base support structure of the old deck needed to be replaced, including attachment points to the home that were rotted due to poor design and flashing of the prior deck. When looking for a contractor we researched many options. We eliminated contractors who seemed to only occasionally build a deck, those who had a different primary focus area, and those who did not often do composite decking. Initially, we found Matt's business listed on the Trex website as a certified TrexPro Gold installer. Marble is very porous, so it stains more than non-porous quartz. Exercise caution when drinking wine and juice or cooking with oil near the marble fixture.

Granite floor installation takes two to five days for an average-sized room, depending on the area size, complexity, and whether additional preparation work is required. Larger or more intricate projects may take longer, especially if demolition or subfloor repairs are needed. Scheduling and contractor availability can also affect the timeline, so be sure to prepare in advance.

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. For example, it’s much better to use unglazed tiles because glazed tiles are more resistant to cracking under extreme heat. Porcelain is more heat-resistant than ceramic, but you can still design the hearth as you like by putting the most heat-resistant tiles directly under the fire and, if it matches your style, add more decorative tiles further from the center of the fire.
