He has vast knowledge of construction and handy related tasks coupled with superb communication skills. Doug described the work entailed from start to finish with great ease. I appreciate how clean his work is. He leaves no stone unturned until the work is pristine. I wish I had known about Doug sooner! I will be utilizing Doug for various house projects moving forward. I was so impressed with the professionalism and competency of this father and son duo. Doug was extremely helpful in explaining each step of the project. They were kind and offered a peaceful solution to a quite worrisome issue I was having with my house. The job started well, but it did not end on a good note. We replaced the baseboard previously damaged by the floor installer. Over the past two years, we have saved to replace and upgrade the baseboard. I was disappointed with the 1) how the caulk was applied to the finished baseboard, in some places visible 1/2 inch above the baseboard, and 2) How the baseboard application was completed by the refrigerator (we agreed to no replacing the baseboard behind the fridge). However, the side was not done; a visible part of the wall. Now, we have a hole on the floor. 3) There was damage to the casing around the kitchen entrance while the old baseboard was removed that was not fixed.

"Husband was fine with everything. Said everything looked great. We performed above and beyond with extra work that included drywall and removing a cat door. When we wouldn't come back for free to do things we were not contracted to do they respond with this rating. Some people you can never please. So sorry I took this one."

Doug assessed the problem and made the necessary repairs which took more than one visit. He willingly returned to tweak additional issues at no extra cost. My project included: tearing up 30+ year old rugs, installing vinyl planks, ripping out horrible wood paneling along the walls and replacing with drywall, and taking out and adjusting the ceiling panel framework from 2x4 to 2x2. I would recommend Schultz & Sons to anyone I know and would hire again. Doug was very professional and honest to work with. I trusted what he told me and believed that he was looking out for the best interest of the basement project I was having done. He was able to fit my basement project in to his schedule within a short period of time. They were prompt, clean and overall I believed that they cared about the quality of their work which is what any homeowner should want in someone they hire.

I reached out to Doug after another contractor cancelled at the last minute. It was urgent that I get the upper part of the house stained before the new roof went on - giving Doug just a couple days notice. He showed up and did an amazing job!
