"The roof replace was excellent, and when we were hit by the first rainstorm for months ( a surprise for everyone ) they went above and beyond to make sure that everything was taken care of. Extremely reliable. Would recommend for any roof or paint jobs."

"Not only are they the nicest people you'll meet, but their estimate was lower than anyone else's. Many times you get what you pay for, but I used them and they fixed my roof perfectly. It rained very hard for two days and none of the areas they repaired (I had multiple leaks) were leaking. I would recommend them highly."

"Nevada Exteriors did a great job on my roof. My roof suffered from a windstorm back in March of 2024. The roofers worked with my insurance company. They brought the materials, and began work the following day. Within three days they were finished. Ryan Thomas and Amanda Sanchez were great. They both are A+ Excellent in customer service. They were able to explain the many questions I had regarding the roof repair process and explain the details with my Insurance company. When a concern came-up, they quickly responded. Nevada Exteriors also did work on many of my neighbors roofs that also suffered damage from that same bad wind storm. I would recommend this roofing company."

"HONEST!!! After a particularly severe windstorm I checked my roof and found that I had lost a couple of shingles, I thought maybe it's time for a total roof replacement, so I called around for a quote to repair or replace, and the consensus was that my 25 yr old roof was in good shape and I really didn't need to replace the roof itself, I got a few quotes for repair, which i thought were kind of high, then the GM from Quality Roof came and told me the same thing . I' m not going to go into specific details, but Quality ended up replacing some missing shingles giving me a deal that couldn't be beat....trust me, these are the guys you want to do business with...."

"Erie Homes was great. Ty and Chris shared the information about roofs in a clear and precise way. I love the high quality of the roofing materials and the standards they hold their workers to when placing the roof. Mike called me each step of the way, so I was prepared when the roofing supplies showed up. I even got calls after the beautiful roof was done. Amazing job!"

"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Yes, roof ridge caps are a necessary part of your roof system. Your roof ridge cap is at the peak of your roof, where two slopes of your roof meet. Roof ridge caps seal the seam and help protect your roof from water and debris, and because they’re pre-bent and thicker, they’re more suited to the job than regular roof shingles, which can break when bent.

Most manufacturers’ warranties do not cover wind damage to roof shingles, but some companies include a wind warranty rider in their warranty offer. You can purchase this rider to protect yourself, your wallet, and your roof from any damage that might occur from wind. Be sure to read all the fine print and understand any limitations of the warranty.

The average cost to winterize a house is about $250, but it can range from $65 to $1,000 depending on the type of work that needs to be done. For homeowners that are experienced DIYers, it can save quite a bit on costs. However, you shouldn’t attempt tasks you aren’t familiar with or are potentially dangerous.

The easiest way to tell if your roof vent boot is leaking is to look in your attic for signs of water damage. You might see visible moisture, water spots, or mold on the roof decking around the roof vent or damaged or soggy insulation below it. If you don’t have access to your attic or aren’t sure if the vent boot is the issue, hire a professional to come inspect your roof and figure out the underlying issue.

No, you can’t use your home’s square footage. You have to calculate your roof’s square footage, and then you may have to convert your square footage measurement to correspond with how the roofing material is measured. For instance, some roofing is sold in “squares,” which equals the total square footage of the roof divided by 100. Shingles are sold in bundles that may not correspond to the number of squares you need. Metal roofing is sold as sheets, so determine the amount of square feet each panel will cover and then divide the total square footage by the coverage area.
