"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"Excellent company to work with. I got a few quotes for my move and GXL Moving Company was by far the best deal. In addition, the movers showed up promptly on time and took great care with my furniture. I appreciated that the movers took the time to confirm where I wanted the furniture at my new place. Would definitely use if I move again and recommend to others."

"The move was professionally done. Members of the moving team were pleasant and informative. They carefully assessed the best way to get the piano in my house. Unfortunately, an accident occurred when moving the piano out of the seller's house, leaving some gashes in the wood along the front of the piano. I was not there and the seller did not see what happened, so have no idea why the damage occurred. The company was most gracious in giving me a reduced moving fee for the damage. This should help in covering costs to try to hide the wood damage."

"Had a death in the family. No idea where to turn for help moving stuff. I heard about Champion. Who knew I would find a moving company not far from my house, that would be able to help me. Thank goodness for Champion. They were sympathetic to my situation. I needed furniture moved quickly and at a decent price. The price was fair based on other companies that I reached out to & they were right on time. The movers were professional and the staff was incredible to me. I had no idea that this company was in town, searched reviews & I'm glad that I went with them. I would absolutely recommend this company.. They really helped me in my time of need and made a difficult situation easier"

Moving questions, answered by experts

You can move a pool table without taking it apart only if you’re moving it a short distance, like from one room to another, and with the help of several people or a professional moving company. But if you’re moving the pool table from one home to another, experts strongly advise you not to move it without taking it apart. If you leave it in one piece, you could risk not only your own personal safety, but also risk damage to the pool table itself. The bumpers could need to be realigned and the slate may have to be re-leveled if you try to move a pool table without taking it apart. In this case, the risk usually doesn’t outweigh the reward.

There are different types of moving companies, and you’ll want to look for one that has experience moving houses. Ask them how many houses they’ve moved, how long they’ve been in business, whether they coordinate all of the labor, permits, and subcontractors needed, and what their liability is for any damages incurred.

If you are hiring professional movers, their company will handle any permits and similar arrangements. But if you are renting a truck to move yourself, you may have to pay permits when moving across state lines or away from a specific city or town. Research your move and its requirements as you plan. Most states, cities, and even rental companies offer useful information about what permits you may need.

Yes, moving insurance is designed to cover some or all of the replacement cost in the event your items are damaged during transit. You can get coverage directly from moving companies or use a third-party moving insurance provider. Plus, you can get coverage from third-party insurers for yourself if you’re moving your belongings.

According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, mobile homes built before 1976 do not meet the current safety standards and shouldn’t be moved even a short distance.
