"I can't believe this is my kitchen! Who'd have thought that just changing the doors and drawer fronts and adding new crown molding would have such an incredible impact. Without going through all of the mess, inconvenience and hassle of construction to put in all new cabinets, I have a brand new, updated, gorgeous new kitchen. Paul was wonderful to work with. He arrived on time, was very knowledgable and helpful and saw to it that I was completely happy with the results.. The quality is TOP NOTCH and the workmanship is AMAZING!! I'm so happy with my new, updated kitchen and couldn't be more impressed with Paul and the guys from Kitchen Tune Up!"

"Great! Mike & Domingo (he is the fabricator) came on time for a measure up and discuss the details. Domingo arrived the following week with our tops, the installation went perfectly (same as it did for our whole kitchen one month ago). Domingo is a perfectionist, tops look great. I definitely recommend CTM."

"JJ Handyman Service were just great. They arrived on time, were professionally dressed, had the necessary tools to do each task. We could not be more happier with the completed work. Jung did and outstanding job in replacing the old medicine cabinet. He ensure the cabinet was level and that the mirrored door operated properly. He chalked the sides to ensure there were no open gaps, We will continue to use JJ Handyman for all of our minor home repairs."

"Outstanding. Tim was right on point from start to finish. We got the designs we wanted and the workmanship is of the highest quality. We completely opened up the kitchen by taking down two confining walls from the existing kitchen doubling the square footage. Our sitting room and dining room are now completely open with visibility in all directions. They gave us start and finish dates three months before the March start. They started the date they said they would and finished on the expected finish date. All the subs were superb. Tim has a great crew and they don't run off to other projects like most contractors. Our three bathrooms were totally remodeled to our design removing tubs, enlarging showers, installing a handicap shower just in case and all new cabinets and fixtures. We are extremely happy and would use Tim again in a heartbeat. The cost might look high but there was additional side work like flooring and painting in additional rooms, barn doors etc.."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.

While concrete walls do not need to "breathe" in the traditional sense of the word, they do require waterproofing and dehumidifying methods, particularly in basements below the water table. Concrete both contains moisture from its initial installation and can absorb water when exposed. Ensuring proper basement ventilation , installing a vapor barrier, and controlling water exposure are all important tasks.

No, it’s not legal for unlicensed individuals to conduct structural calculations for buildings or building repairs. Not only do licensing requirements prevent DIYers from tackling this project, but mistakes can also be extremely dangerous and put your property and anyone inside or near it at risk of severe injury or even death. You should always hire a licensed and certified local structural engineer to make structural calculations.

If your project is complex, it may make sense to hire an architect to draw plans. An architect might also be a good person to hire if you want to ensure your plans adhere to building codes and regulations.

Yes, custom designs match existing structural and aesthetic themes.
