"Ralph is extremely professional and takes the time to explain every aspect of the job. He even went over the benefits of using sod as an alternative to turf, knowing that there is a large difference in price. When the work was completed, you could not tell that he had ever been there. Clean-up was spotless. I have some additional projects that need to be done and the first and only person I will be calling is Ralph Vigil. I can't compliment him and his team, enough"

"Like some others, SODO was not the cheapest estimate that we got. But theirs was the most complete and comprehensive, and they followed up several times in an effort to secure our business. In the end, we went with them, and we do not regret our decision one bit. The work was done in one day, and done very well. Ours was a flat roof above our garage that had been leaking for years due to original shoddy workmanship and materials. It is now a solid roof, and nicely waterproofed, firm, and supportive. We have an air conditioner out there, and they replaced the ductwork underneath, and mounted the new air conditioner as well. I am thoroughly pleased, and I highly recommend this company. One day, we hope to put a deck out on this roof, and install French doors to access it through the master bedroom. I know who I will be calling when we decide to do this."

"They were extremely thorough.  They rented a special machine to 'scrub' the air and clean out the mold once and for all.  I needed to leave the house for 48 hours and also remove my indoor cats.  Initially they thought my goldfish would be okay so we left  her in the house.  When it was evident that she wouldn't be all right they took her out of the tank, put her in a 5 gallon tank that I had and put her in the safest part of the house.
When they came back a few days later to check how everything was one of the cats got into the crawl space.  I wasn't home and they were worried about the cat's safety.  They waited until she came out even though they had to stay and extra hour or so.

"I was won over by their enthusiasm! They took an interest in the whole yard, not just trimming the trees. My yard looks fantastic - jobs I could not do myself they took care of quickly. They consulted me on each step so I was not surprised with the result. MG Landscape will be my provider of choice for my landscaping needs! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

In Albuquerque, NM, snow removal is most frequently needed from December through March, with the highest demand in January and February due to increased snowfall. Because snow events are sporadic and often melt quickly, most residents opt for on-call snow removal rather than regular contracts. Higher elevations may require snow and ice management from November through April, as snow tends to linger longer.

Helpful?

Be cautious of contractors in Albuquerque, NM, who offer rigid seasonal contracts or minimum charges that don’t reflect the area’s light snowfall. Watch for those unfamiliar with local freeze-thaw cycles, or who use equipment that could damage adobe or stucco. Avoid providers who disregard water conservation, don’t address elevation differences, or can’t offer references for work on local surfaces and drainage systems.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, NM, snow removal for a typical residential driveway generally takes 15 to 30 minutes, while larger properties or those with deeper accumulation may require up to 3 hours. Commercial parking lots and walkways can take several hours, especially if ice is present. Albuquerque’s high-desert climate, quick snowmelt, and occasional icy patches all impact how long the snow removal process takes.

Helpful?

When hiring for snow removal in Albuquerque, NM, choose professionals experienced with the region’s high-desert conditions, including rapid temperature changes and ice management. Look for those who understand elevation impacts and can protect adobe or stucco surfaces. On-call availability, quick response times, and water-conscious practices are essential. Prioritize companies with flexible scheduling and a strong reputation for handling local snow and drainage challenges.

Helpful?

Albuquerque homeowners should consider elevation, as neighborhoods above 6,000 feet often receive more snow and ice. Sudden temperature changes can create hazardous icy surfaces, while strong winds may cause drifting. Be mindful of water conservation when using de-icing products, and protect adobe or stucco surfaces from damage. Narrow streets and unique drainage systems can also affect where snow and runoff are directed.
