"Replaced leech field- he did an excellent job removing my old leech field and replacing it with a better system. From the time I entered the job in homeadvisor (approx 8am) I was called back before noon. We scheduled a site review later that day. From the time I selected Roadway, there was constant progress. Even when the permits were in progress, they were in constant contact to let me know what was going on. When the permits were in order, they worked nonstop until the job was done. Their work was excellent, prompt and neat. Highly recommend."

Septic Designs of NH LLC is a Veteran owned small business with BBB accreditation. We take great pride in our work and are not satisfied until you are. We do Septic Designs, Inspections, Tank Replacements, and Septic Repairs. We also clear main sewer lines and do Trenchless Pipe Repair. Which is a NO DIG solution for pipe replacements. Our jetter is also a HEATED jetter for that tough grease or other buildup where you need some extra hot water to really clean the pipe.

"I called every plumber around and Septic Design of NH had the best price to put a camera down the sewer line. Problem was located in no time."

"Worst homeowner experience of my life. Hired to replace a sewer line from my house to the street - three day job turned into three weeks - said they didn’t need to shut off our water, though we asked, then broke the water line and flooded the hole, which backed up into the broken sewer line and then back into my basement - city engineers were all over the job because of safety concerns, including a teenage boy working in a 12 foot hole with no cave in support. I doubt the city of Dover would even give him a permit again. - never worked a full day. Left early for reasons ranging from broken equipment, teaching karate lessons, or going to daughter’s events - hole was definitely not packed back in correctly as we ended up with a moat the following spring. A pizza delivery guy literally fell into the dent in my front yard. - cost of job went up 150% from original quote and he wouldn’t itemize the bill - and here we are a year and a week later and my sewer line is backed up again so the job was bunk. I’m not even kind of surprised. Dana is the worst. Stay away from this business. I will be filing complaints with anyone and everyone who monitors these types of business. Horrible."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

On average, septic tanks last between 20 and 40 years. However, this time frame may vary depending on a few factors, including the tank’s material and the soil type. You can extend the life of your tank by scheduling a septic tank pumping every three to five years and being mindful about what you put down your drains and toilets. In short, human waste and toilet paper are the only things that should go into your septic tank.

Oversized well pressure tanks are not always a bad thing, but it is still better to opt for a tank sized more appropriately for your well to save money and space. The advantage of an oversized well pressure tank is that it can reduce frequent pump cycling to conserve energy.

The depth of a septic tank’s drain lines is between 18 and 36 inches underground. These pipes are filled with perforations and surrounded by sand, gravel, or a combination of both, as both materials help filter wastewater. While some pipes are buried closer to the surface, this can create problems unless the soil is compact and doesn’t shift much.

To keep roots from growing into a septic tank. However, there are other steps you can take if existing tree roots are getting close to your septic tank. For one, you can install root barriers, which physically block roots from reaching your septic tank. You can also use chemical solutions in your yard or plumbing system to deter root growth.

Drain fields often include three to five trenches that are 18 to 24 inches deep. The pipes connecting the drain field to the septic tank will be placed between 12 and 18 inches deep, and the field as a whole will be about 100 feet long.
