"Great job on short notice, the Thursday before Christmas. They were able to remove a tree, do some serious pruning of large branches overhanging my house, as well as a yard clean up and they did my gutters for me too. I would definitely recommend KJAY Tree Service & Landscaping."

"This is the company you want working on your yard! Matt is exceptional to work with - proactive and willing to discuss project ideas and solutions. We hired Four Tree for an overhaul of our lawn starting with fall cleanup/removal of leaves, spring cleanup, dethatching, loam and hydroseeding, and ongoing mowing. Matt and his crew are incredibly thorough and our lawn has never looked better. Four Tree is by far the best landscaping company we have worked with - highly recommend them."

"We had Luke, of Seacoast Yard Work, do some landscaping at our house recently and i just wanted to say what a great job he did. We found Luke to be dependable, hard working, and he responded immediately with any questions we had. He gave us a quote quite a few months ago and kept us up to date and informed as to when he would be starting our project. He was a joy to work with and does really great work!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Professional lead-paint abatement companies use a variety of methods to remove lead-based paint, depending on each particular situation. Some of the most common methods include:

  • Total removal: $8–$17 per square foot

  • Demolition and replacement: $1,000–$15,000 per project

  • Encapsulation: $4 per square foot

  • Enclosure: $10 per square foot

  • Chemical stripping: $10–$17 per square foot

Government regulations such as the EPA and OSHA govern lead removal procedures to ensure health and environmental safety during and after abatement.

It is safe to remove old linoleum, but it may require the help of a specialist due to the risk of asbestos in the material. Before you cut into linoleum or try to peel it up, have it tested for asbestos. If it tests positive, professionals will need to remove it to prevent the risk of health issues from airborne toxic particles. If it’s asbestos-free, DIY removal is possible and safe.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is recycling or donation, if possible. That way, the world can reduce its consumption of raw materials and the volume at which materials have to be treated and disposed of. If recycling or donation is not an option, most waste can be disposed of through landfills or incinerators, but their collection and treatment are separate from regular day-to-day waste disposal.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.
