"Proprietor is very personable, thorough, and sincere. He took the time to review all options available for the job. He also spent time helping me to understand proper use of set up as well as operation of the portable generator. He also gave me insight to yearly maintenance needs and reasons for that maintenance. His work was done quickly, completely and area was left clean. I would recommend Chad Woods Electric to anyone looking for a great electrical contractor"

"I've used Jeff on 3 different occasions- a complete kitchen and bathroom gutting, electrical updates at a new house 2x. I'd recommend Jeff's work without hesitation. He makes good recommendations, does clean and quality work and charges a fair price."

"Arete Electric did an outstanding job on my kitchen and basement after I experienced an under sink burst filter which occurred in the middle of the night… it was a flood. Tommy and his team were extremely reliable, skilled, flexible and simply a pleasure to deal with. A lot of work was needed due to differences in code from when my kitchen was built until now. They also were able to install undercabinet lighting at the counter level and floor level and cleverly hide electrical plugs so not to as interfere with the aesthetic of the kitchen . I highly recommend!!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Merrimack homeowners are increasingly installing smart thermostats, automated lighting, and whole-home surge protection. Energy-efficient upgrades like LED fixtures and solar-ready wiring are in demand, especially for new additions or remodels. Outdoor living spaces are enhanced with landscape lighting and weather-resistant outlets, while dedicated circuits for home offices and EV charging stations in garages are also trending locally.

Helpful?

In Merrimack, areas most likely to need electrical attention include older electrical panels, outdated wiring in basements or attics, and kitchens or bathrooms that lack GFCI protection. Homes built before 1950 may still have knob and tube wiring, which should be replaced. With frequent storms in NH, adding surge protection is wise, and garages often require upgrades to support electric vehicle charging.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Merrimack can significantly boost your home’s resale appeal and value, especially if your property is older or lacks modern safety features. Buyers in Merrimack often look for homes with updated wiring, new electrical panels, and energy-efficient lighting. These improvements not only enhance safety and reliability but also help your home stand out in the local market, making it more attractive to potential buyers.

Helpful?

Coordinating electrical work with other home upgrades in Merrimack is a practical way to save time and minimize disruption. For example, plan wiring updates during kitchen or bathroom remodels, or combine panel upgrades with basement finishing. This approach can streamline permit approvals, reduce labor overlap, and help you avoid multiple disruptions, making your renovation process smoother and more cost-effective in the long run.

Helpful?

Electrical upgrades in Merrimack deliver immediate benefits such as improved safety, more consistent power, and enhanced convenience with modern controls. Over time, you’ll notice reduced energy consumption, fewer electrical issues, and a future-ready home that supports new technologies. These updates also help maintain your property’s value and may even contribute to lower insurance premiums, making them a smart investment for NH homeowners.
