"Arete’s team was incredibly professional and efficient. They completed my HVAC job in a timely manner and beat competitor’s pricing. Their team was very respectful of my home and even wiped the floor after each day’s work. Every member of the team was kind and respectful. Will certainly work with them again in the future for any of my HVAC/electrical needs."

"Dave was great! Top quality work at a fair price. I needed a degraded riser cable that feeds the meter box outside the house replaced. Another company gave me a ridiculous quite which included current code updates that said I needed. My town electrical inspector said that none of those were required for a simple riser cable replacement. I highly recommend Lanzillo Electric!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Tankless water heaters won’t increase your electric bill. Since tankless water heaters are more efficient than tank water heaters, installing one in your home will actually allow you to save money on your electric bill. The Department of Energy estimates you can save $100 or more each year with a high-efficiency tankless water heater.

Upgrading your electrical system can save you money on your monthly utility bills by powering your home more efficiently. Electrification nonprofit Rewiring America estimates that a household could save $1,800 per year on energy bills by upgrading to a modern electric heat pump, switching to a heat pump for their water, installing solar panels on the roof, and converting to an electric vehicle.

Yes. A pellet stove should have its own 110V outlet and dedicated circuit breaker. Otherwise, it could overload the system. Pellet stoves can create major fire hazards if they aren’t wired properly or have to share circuits. Get in touch with a local electrician or pellet stove expert if you need to run new wiring for a pellet stove.

Yes, tamper-resistant outlets are designed to be safe for use in homes with children. They feature a spring-loaded shutter that blocks the electrical slots when not in use, which helps protect children from electric shock if they try to insert an object. While they are the safest option available and highly effective, it's important to note that few things are truly 'childproof.' Children may still try to imitate adults by inserting a plug. For this reason, it's best to use tamper-resistant outlets over less effective solutions like plastic covers, which can be removed or pose a choking hazard. Always supervise young children around any electrical outlets or devices.

Some types of electric fireplaces use more electricity than others. Models that produce 1,500 watts will have more of an effect on your heating bill than 750-watt models.

Electric fireplaces use an average of $1.85 of electricity every eight hours. These minimal operational costs aren’t likely to make a big difference in your electric bill—unless you’re using it as a primary heating source for your home and it’s running most of the time.
