"We were extremally happy with Grady Jones Paint Contractors. The painters that did our interior painting were very professional and pleasant to deal with. Fred and Chris did a fantastic job. They were neat and cleaned up very nicely when the job was finished. We have more painting that needs to be done and we will definitely hire Grady Jones for that job also."

"We hired Express Yourself Paint for two painting projects that included the entire interior of a townhouse and its enclosed sunroom, in addition to some bathroom caulking work. John, the customer service manager, was very professional, courteous and responsive to our needs. He seemed to work overtime to answer numerous questions and to address concerns during the whole process, in such a timely manner. Brent, who provided estimates, was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations and pertinent information regarding paint colors and finishes. Michael and his painting crew did a meticulous and beautiful job painting our townhouse and sunroom. Michael was dedicated to having a satisfied customer and he achieved his goal! We will not hesitate to call upon them again for any future painting projects!"

Customers say: True professional

"I requested a quote on a Sunday morning and in less than two hours Howie was at my house to provide an estimate and walk me through everything. Howie and Todd did an amazing job painting my foyer, upstairs loft, hallway and ceilings for me in a timely manner. They arrived every day on time and never left anything a mess at the end of the day. If you want the job done right these two are ones you can trust, i'll be calling them for my other painting needs in the future!"

"We originally hired H&M to do an extensive amount of interior painting. They did a fantastic job. So we hired them to repair our cedar sided house and to paint the exterior. The work was amazing. The siding work is better than the original construction. The crew always did a great job of cleaning up. And the price is very fair. We will hire them again."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

The best and fastest way to remove paint from a deck often involves combining a chemical stripper with a pressure washer. Gel-based paint strippers are highly recommended because their thick consistency makes them less messy and easier to apply than liquid strippers. After applying the stripper to loosen the paint, you can use a pressure washer to efficiently wash away the residue. When using a pressure washer for this task, it's important to use a low pressure (under 1000 PSI) to avoid forcing too much moisture into the wood, which could lead to mildew or rot.

The most common reason paint peels is because moisture gets trapped underneath it and disrupts its bond with the wall. Other causes for peeling paint include a poor original paint job, painting over a surface with dirt or other foreign material on it, or applying paint coats that are too thick.

Yes, a magic eraser can remove candle wax. You can use it to remove all the candle wax from start to finish. Another option is to remove all large clumps with a dull knife and then pull out your magic eraser to finish the job. However, while the results can be impressive, a magic eraser shouldn’t be used on all surfaces since it can potentially damage them. If you try this method, test a small, hidden spot first and proceed cautiously.

Most handy homeowners can tackle removing texture from unpainted walls. Removing texture from painted walls is a bit trickier. Paint acts as a sealant, so you can’t soften the texture with water. Instead, you’ll have to add a layer of drywall compound known as a skim coat. This process is messy and takes some practice.

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.
