Customers say: Super punctual

"Hired them for a major yard transformation. They removed 3 major oak trees, several large cedars, and countless brush, bushes, & ivy. This crew works extremely hard, efficient, and very well skilled. The crane operator and bobcat drivers are very talented with their maneuvers and make quick work of seemingly dicey tasks. All of the crew very nice and left us a clean yard. Great value. Wouldn't go to anyone else for a similar job"

"If you need tree removal, this is the company to hire. After I contacted them he came out and gave me an estimate and scheduled a time. They arrived on time and took down an enormous birch tree located in a flower bed between my house and a gazebo. They were very quick and did not damage a single plant in my flower bed. They cleaned up and were gone in record time. I would definitely use them again."

"This is the third time I've hired A+ Tree and Crane services. This time I had a large oak tree removed. It was in a difficult to reach area (equipment-wise), but the crew managed to take it down flawlessly. From start to finish the process was excellent. Kenny the estimator arrived as scheduled and was able to fit me into their schedule two days later. The crew arrived promptly and the entire job was finished in under two hours. I highly recommend A+ and will definitely hire them in the future!"

"Mr. Beaver Tree Service did a professional job with a crew that knew what they were doing to protect a broken tree from falling on the home during the take down. The crane operator was experienced as well along with the Bobcat operator grabbing the sawed timber and limbs. Clean up was also involved leaving the yard neat. Yes, I would hire them again."

"Hands down the best group of professional guys! Highly recommend this company for your tree work. Very prompt, knowledgeable, affordable, friendly, and take pride in their work. They took extra caution to not mess up the yard and other trees not cut. I will definitely be using their tree service again in the future!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Using Epsom salt to kill a tree stump typically takes between six and 12 months. While this may seem like a long time, it is significantly faster than the natural decomposition process, which can take up to seven years. This method is a viable DIY option for stumps that do not pose an immediate hazard. If you need a faster solution, you can hire a professional for stump removal or grinding, though this may cause more damage to the surrounding ground.

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.

In the short term, you’ll have a lot of fallen trees to deal with. Tree removal services costs typically start at $200 per tree and increase based on species and size. Then, you’ll have to deal with the loss of trees: That means a loss of shade and a greater risk of rain runoff and erosion. Also, you’ll miss out on the health and aesthetic benefits of having trees on your property, which could even affect the resale value of your home.

That being said, cutting down a tree it’s not always a bad idea. Trees growing too close to rooftops can present fire hazards or debris problems. You may need to remove diseased or dying trees to prevent future issues.

The cost of professional tree trimming averages $460, with a typical range between $200 and $760. However, prices can be as low as $75 or as high as $1,800 depending on several factors. The size and type of the tree are major cost drivers; for example, trimming Crepe Myrtle trees costs an average of $80 to $400, while trimming giant pine trees can range from $200 to $1,800. Other factors that influence the price include the time of year, as services are often more costly in the spring. The tree's accessibility and your location also play a role, as a remote or hard-to-reach tree may increase the cost. Some professionals may offer a discount if you have multiple trees to trim.

If the roots are still alive, the dead tree will usually try to put out new shoots. That doesn’t mean the tree will survive or that the dead parts of a tree will come back to life. If parts of the tree have died and turned gray or rotten, nothing will bring them back to life and they need to be safely removed.
