"This team is outstanding! They are professional and extremely competent. They were on time, cordial and delivered services that were beyond expectation. This is the second time we worked with Oscar and his team and we highly recommend them. The guys went above and beyond and even used the tree stump to make some outdoor log chairs and a table for our family. All the neighbors are envious! We will always use this company for all our tree cutting and landscaping needs. Teresa was amazingly helpful and always responsive."

"Engineer Walter Cardona & his team removing big trees is fascinating to watch. He knows exactly where each piece will arrive on the ground. The Cardona team brought 2 large pines down between houses without a worry. In addition 3 birch with branches overhanging a busy street were cleaned up, plus 3 large stumps were ground all in less than 90 minutes; the yard was raked clean! Cardona's Tree Service was far & away the best service & price from multiple quotes. Whatever your requirements, Cardona has the experienced team, the appropriate equipment needed, safety protocol, and fair pricing. "Way to go, guys! Thank you!""

"I have no words to express my admiration for the professionalism of these people. We hired them for the second time, and they did a perfect job. They had to remove 7 70ft trees, some of which were dead and dried up, some leaning towards the house, and others diseased and infested with insects. The guys came with the necessary equipment and completed the work without any issues or damage to the property. They even cleaned up the yard afterwards. We were extremely satisfied and will hire them again when needed! Don't hesitate. This is one of the best and most professional tree removal companies in the state."

"Mr. Beaver Tree Service did a professional job with a crew that knew what they were doing to protect a broken tree from falling on the home during the take down. The crane operator was experienced as well along with the Bobcat operator grabbing the sawed timber and limbs. Clean up was also involved leaving the yard neat. Yes, I would hire them again."

"Very professional from the first visit thru the entire project. They took down 4 huge trees. 2 of which were very close to the house. He climbed those trees taking the branches and the team lowered to the ground. Not a branch touched the house. Stumps were ground down, branches were chipped and trunks hauled away the yard was cleaned up. If we need more trees trimmed or taken down Bori Tree and Lawn will be called"

Customers say: True professional

"Excellent, very well organized, professional work. They were very diligent to place mats on the damp lawn to protect it from damage by the machines. Team worked very efficiently and safely. Very courteous team. They spent a good amount of time cleaning up debris and left the lawn in really good shape. I have no hesitation in recommending them. Over my 20+ years at this house, I've used several other tree companies but this one is for sure the one I'll call first next time I need tree services."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

If you don’t cut down a dead, dying, or diseased tree, it can become a nesting place for pests like mosquitos, bees, beetles, wasps, fly larvae, and more. Some pests will live in the tree, while others will feed off the decaying wood. Unhealthy trees are also more likely to fall over, potentially injuring people and causing damage to your property.

Tree experts don’t advise against digging through tree roots, but instead encourage caution and consultation with a local arborist to make sure you don’t damage the tree’s structure or interrupt its water or nutrient intake. An arborist can recommend specific practices when digging and help prune the roots or dig a trench for utilities with a tool that can remove soil without touching the tree’s roots.

Trees that flower in the spring—like dogwood, cherry, magnolia, and pear—should not be pruned during the winter. These spring-flowering plants grow buds on old growth, so you’ll actually remove what would’ve been gorgeous flowering foliage. Instead, wait to prune until right after they bloom, when the flowers fade.

It is possible to cut down a tree on your property yourself, but it is generally not recommended unless specific conditions are met. You should only consider this project if the tree is small (e.g., under 4-5 inches in diameter and short enough that you don't need a ladder to reach the branches), and you are experienced in handling a chainsaw. The tree must also be located far from any power lines, fences, homes, or other structures. Even for small trees, the work can be dangerous, and it's always advisable to have a spotter to ensure the tree falls correctly and no branches fall on you.

For any tree that is large, requires a ladder to access, or is near electrical lines or structures, you should always hire a professional. Attempting to remove a large tree yourself is extremely dangerous, poses a risk of serious injury, and could result in significant damage to your property.

Before any tree removal, it's also important to check your local and state regulations to ensure the tree is not historic or otherwise protected by your city.

No, you cannot throw branches from your neighbor’s tree back into their yard, nor can you discard leaves or other plant matter that originated from their yard back over there if it happens to land in your yard. You are responsible for cleaning up plant matter that made its way into your yard.
