My countertops are professionally installed & I was presented with a variety of attractive design options. My projects were completed on time & their prices are both reasonable & affordable. "We have used Design Home Renovations for several projects. All of the work was started and completed with top quality materials and construction. We are also already on their schedule to have our kitchen remodeled and they are building us a new sunroom in March. The process of selection was so easy with Dana's help. She worked with us to keep our project on budget and was still able to capture all the looks we wanted!
They have always been neat and kept a clean construction site, along with having a friendly work crew. We could not be happier and would like to recommend Design Home Renovation for your home Remodel needs.

"Our builder repaired our walls several times to no avail. Clean Hands staff assessed the repairs needed, provided a written plan of action and completed the repairs and painting in a timely and professional manner. Will definitely use services again!"

"We could not be happier with this company. Starting with the designer, to the very end of the project, every step of the way went perfect. It is often hard to find a company where all of the workers really care about how things are done. All of the workers were so professional and skillful. They were here everyday right on time and worked so hard to make sure everything was how we wanted it. They left our home cleaned each day and really took precautions to reduce dust and noise. The final results exceeded our expectations and we would only use this company for any future projects. They are truly outstanding!"

"The actual roofing job in 2014 went fine. We were pleased with the initial work and the price. However, the company’s follow up is sorely lacking. They responded when we had a concern about some of the new roofing within a couple of weeks. Our second issue it took much longer to get a response from them. Now in 2019, we have been trying to get them to come and check out our roof for hail damage. We can’t get anyone to call us. Just some texts and passing off of responsibility. Their customer service is poor."

"Rich did a great job adding custom shelving to two closets in my home. He was very professional and arrived at the time that we agreed to. No messes were left behind when the work was done. My closets look great now and have so much more storage space!"

"Duane was the general contractor for my new construction home in Michigan before he moved to North Carolina to start his UBuildIt business. He was very involved making sure everything was just perfect. Easy to contact. On site frequently. You will not be disappointed using this company for any of your building needs."

One starting point to find a local home builder is to collect suggestions from friends and neighbors. However, it’s still wise to do some more research before you hire a builder. Read reviews to supplement any word-of-mouth recommendations. Check sources like Angi that have standards and criteria in place to screen the pros it lists can also help you find more reputable local home builders.
Typically, it’s more affordable to buy an existing home than it is to build a new one. New construction loan interest rates tend to be higher than interest rates for traditional mortgages. Additionally, the cost of materials is likely higher when building a new home than it was when an existing home was built (unless it’s a very new one). You’re also paying for all new appliances, finishes, permits, inspections, and connections for water, gas, and electricity.
The average price per square foot to build a house is about $150 per square foot. Overall, the cost to build a house ranges anywhere from $100 to $500 per square foot, depending on where you build. The primary cost factors include location, size, and style of house you build.
The cost to build a detached garage for two cars costs about $26,400 on average. Prices range from $19,200 to $33,600, depending on your location, the garage size, height, materials, and site prep required. Additional cost factors include any plumbing, electrical wiring, and insulation. If you need to build a concrete foundation for a new detached garage, you can expect to pay $1,000 to $8,600 for this essential addition.
The average cost to remodel a garage is around $18,000, ranging from $1,500 to $50,000, depending on size, materials, location, and other factors like plumbing and electrical. Garage remodels that include changing the roof and walls add significant expenses to the project. Plus, you can expect to pay about $1,400 for the building conversion permits. For a simple remodel, like painting interior walls and recoating the garage floor, it will cost about $2 to $5 per square foot.
