The front door frame needed to be repaired as well when the threshold and new front door were installed because the spot for the lock was not secure. The guys made sure everything was safe and in good working order. The windows were special order because they had to be inserted into stonework. The company that made the windows did not make them the size specified on the order form. That meant it took longer to find a way to get them to fit into the walls, but the guys cheerfully worked out a way without us needing to wait for new windows to be produced. Our tenants have been very pleased with the improvements. We are also pleased that Handyman Xpress was able to get them installed before the new tenants needed to move in. Made the process much easier for all of us."

"After setting a start date Mr. Hargrove failed to show up and sent someone who we never met to pick up the installment pay. He was not knowledgeable about the job he was contracted to do. The railings were not installed correctly in fact it was a safety issue - if leaned on one could possibly knock it over. Called several times requesting him to repair, made false promises. To correct the problem we hired someone else to correct the job.

"I called primarily because we had'nt used the insert in a few years and had gotten a wasp's nest in the chimney which was removed when we had the roof redone.  I wanted to find out if a screen could be put on top to stop wasps from getting in.  After being told they had had a 1 and 1/2 hour drive to get to me they could'nt do anything  but put on a new cap for 400 to 500 dollars which would make it worth their while for the trip.  They did'nt do a cleaning and were here for about 20 minutes.  It was a special they were running for a cleaning and inspection.

"The CHW Tech was unable to connect the air condition to the Nest thermostat because it was not registering but he was able to provide us with cool air until the previous HVAC company was able to come and fix the system the next day. I had to pay the CHW Tech for the entire service but was reimbursed by the original company that installed the furnace because they knew that this was their error."
