I contacted "Shamrock Chimney" and scheduled an appointment with their lead technician "Tony". He suggested a less costly and safer alternative (steel liner and a resealing of the outer brickwork. "The items shipped were all in working order. The items were easily installed via a sticky tape attached to all the sensors. Some, like the motion detector, were just placed on a flat surface;ie. fireplace mantle. All worked correctly. The remote door sensors are great;I use them to turn off / on the alarm system before entering or after leaving the house. The control unit besides handling the security system , displays local weather - which is handy."
