Luke was amazing. He gave us a quick quote that was reasonable. He started and worked when he said he would. He kept us updated and sent pictures afterward. The quality of his work was excellent. I was so pleased with his work. He went above and beyond by doing a couple extra things for us as we were out of state. I would and will recommend him to anyone looking for a professional quality painter!

He was super professional and aims to please. I was so worried that I would have to move furniture- he makes everything happen and makes the process a breeze! He is very thorough and precise, will make sure that you are completely satisfied with the job. If you want a high quality paint job, dependability, and appropriate pricing- Hire him! Rating 1-10, I give home a 10+!

Luke gave a quote, I signed his agreement, and paid a $420 deposit. When he arrived to do the job, he told my husband he could not do it because some of the wood needed repairing. He offered to return the deposit or reschedule after the repairs. My husband said we would reschedule. Finding a carpenter and scheduling the repair took roughly 2 months. When I reached out to Luke to reschedule, he more than doubled the cost of the project and refused to refund the deposit when I did not agree to the new cost. He took my money and did not provide a service. He blamed us for not contacting him sooner and said he sold our paint - when he had made no effort as a business owner to reach out to us, the customers who had paid a deposit. I absolutely do not recommend him.

"I am so sorry for your bad experience. We require our deposits to secure specific dates and cover material costs just in case a customer changes their mind. In this case many pieces of rotten wood were found around the exterior of the house that home owners did not know about. They explained they were selling the house so in good conscious I could not paint the house knowing a home inspector/bank would flag the rotten wood and then require another paint job. We did not hear a single update from the customer as we were told they would contact us upon carpentry work being completed. More than 2 months later, once my schedule is now booked through January which makes it too cold to paint I could not refund the deposit because I lost an entire weeks worth of income for having the integrity to explain the rotten wood to the owners instead of simply painting over it. Most painters would not have done this and would simply have painted the rotten wood. The deposit was spent on tinted paint and could not be returned to the store for a refund. The additional costs added to the job after the fact were because the customer asked us to add on 3 story eves and eves hanging over a very steep and dangerous roof slope. I could not in good conscious paint over rotten wood and with a lost week of work the deposit only covered the cost of paint. We have never had an issue like this or been asked for a single refund in our 5+ years in business. My honesty and integrity got me a bad review. I do I everything I possibly can for my customers to ensure every job is done perfectly to my satisfaction and to theirs. Again, insincerely apologize for your unfortunate experience."

Luke was a gift! I moved from Colorado into a new home in Prattville, walked in the door and immediately realized I couldn’t live with the existing DIY paint job. I called Luke’s Painting, their estimate was $1400.00 less than their competitors, he started painting two days later. Luke was professional, honest, hard working and always cognizant of the fact that I was working from home while he was painting. Getting our new house painted was the first step into making it our home. Luke was very quick to respond when we reached out. We had a couple delays on our end and he was very accommodating. He got the work done in a timely manner. He takes directions very well, he’s professional, clean and on time. He made sure we were satisfied with everything throughout the process. Not good. Several delays ran out of paint, took 3 different people to get the job done. Wanted to charge extra for molding. Left paint on carpet, flooring, and on stove.

"We are very sorry you had a negative experience using us to paint your home. Our employee did have a family emergency, therefore we had to get a second employee to come in. However, this caused no delay and the job was completed in 3 days, which was the time frame given at the beginning of the job. We do have separate pricing for crown molding and walls due to the fact crown molding is very detailed work. We strive to leave no mess whatsoever when we paint a home and keep everything completely covered. This is the first time of us hearing about any paint remaining on your carpet, flooring or stove. Had we been made aware of this, we would have gladly done everything necessary to resolve this. We will be glad to remove any paint that was left on your appliances or flooring."

Luke was extremely professional on the phone and always kept me in the loop on what was going on. His painter on site (Marvin) did an excellent job and always took time to show me the progress whenever I stopped by. I would hire them again in a heart beat!
