"I am so sorry for your bad experience. We require our deposits to secure specific dates and cover material costs just in case a customer changes their mind. In this case many pieces of rotten wood were found around the exterior of the house that home owners did not know about. They explained they were selling the house so in good conscious I could not paint the house knowing a home inspector/bank would flag the rotten wood and then require another paint job. We did not hear a single update from the customer as we were told they would contact us upon carpentry work being completed. More than 2 months later, once my schedule is now booked through January which makes it too cold to paint I could not refund the deposit because I lost an entire weeks worth of income for having the integrity to explain the rotten wood to the owners instead of simply painting over it. Most painters would not have done this and would simply have painted the rotten wood. The deposit was spent on tinted paint and could not be returned to the store for a refund. The additional costs added to the job after the fact were because the customer asked us to add on 3 story eves and eves hanging over a very steep and dangerous roof slope. I could not in good conscious paint over rotten wood and with a lost week of work the deposit only covered the cost of paint. We have never had an issue like this or been asked for a single refund in our 5+ years in business. My honesty and integrity got me a bad review. I do I everything I possibly can for my customers to ensure every job is done perfectly to my satisfaction and to theirs. Again, insincerely apologize for your unfortunate experience."

"We are very sorry you had a negative experience using us to paint your home. Our employee did have a family emergency, therefore we had to get a second employee to come in. However, this caused no delay and the job was completed in 3 days, which was the time frame given at the beginning of the job. We do have separate pricing for crown molding and walls due to the fact crown molding is very detailed work. We strive to leave no mess whatsoever when we paint a home and keep everything completely covered. This is the first time of us hearing about any paint remaining on your carpet, flooring or stove. Had we been made aware of this, we would have gladly done everything necessary to resolve this. We will be glad to remove any paint that was left on your appliances or flooring."
