I work mainly by myself. I am good at all the skills listed. I work on building relationships with my customers. I treat people well and for less then most as I depend on return business & have a strong desire to do good work for fair prices.I have the ability to pull in very qualified help and if I am not able to do your job at the time you desire I will help direct you to people I trust.I realize there have been no new reviews in a long time. .I have established myself and many of my customers are repeats and I dont bother asking for new reviews. I relied on Angies list for a lil boost but I dont really check this page as Ihave become unhappy with their support team and the service they provide. If you want me call the phone numbers. Thank You. Please call me as I dont check this page enough and Angies is supposed to notify me in my email but fails more often than not.

Shamus screened in an existing porch for me, ran electrical and installed a ceiling fan. He did a great job and my wife and I couldn’t be happier with the results! He was easy to work with and very reasonable on the price. Highly recommend his services to anyone in the area.

Shamus has helped me keep my cabin in good working order. He is responsible, prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. He thinks in a 'big-picture' way, meaning he's a problem-solver. Craftsman is a small word to describe Shamus. His attention to detail is obvious in the work that he does. He helped us look for the most economical options and worked within our budget. There are few with as much talent as Shamus, we are more than happy with the work that he has completed for us and our house has never looked better. For any home repair, Shamus is your man. You won’t be disappointed. Update as of 4.26.2021 This is continued from earlier review attached are the before and after photos.

Another great job. Highly recommend him. Shamus was there when promised, worked consistently, clean, neat, quality work at a very fair price. His skill and patience reversing the refrigerator doors was amazing. I'm very happy I didn't try reversing those doors myself.

Excellent. Used Shamus' business several times during the process of self building a house. He always arrived prepared with the tools needed and an obvious thought out plan regarding the work to be performed . He was both knowledgeable and efficient and performed top quality workmanship including metal siding install, window install, basic plumbing, stair railing in home, deck building, tongue and groove wood ceiling, and outdoor railing at end of deck. Shamus came out on time. He installed four doors one bifold closet, two sold wood interior doors and a security door. Along with trimming each of these doors plus some openings we did not put doors back in. All of the floor trim, all the windows in my home and all the closets . By my estimate this works out to some where around 2500+ board feet of trim. He also painted the interior of our home and it looks amazing. Our home has a mix of old drywall and new drywall. He was able to give it all a very uniform look.

Shamus and his helper came out and over a three day period built a 175 foot run fence. They used a design that I had found on a New Zealand website. During the design and layout phase Shamus listened to each of the wants we had about the fence. He was very patient during this time. Helping meet our design goals, keeping cost down and sometimes being the voice of reason based on experience. During the building phase he was able to keep the fence level with i would say 98% accuracy. Keep in mind that the los he was building on had a mild but long dip and rise. Not to mention he was able to stay outside of the state right away while not losing more yard than we needed. After the fence was built he suggested we let the fence dry out and then seal. Three months he came out and did just that. All in all he was able to build a 175 foot long fence that was 6 feet high thats the talk of 28 North.

Its not near as uniform in color as I wanted it to be and you are also generous in the fact you didnt ask for the color to be so deep. I made the mistake on this one by using Transparent stain and thats how it comes out on pressure treated wood. I should have used Clear and it would have been better."

Shamus and his helper came out on time. They unloaded and placed the flooring through out the house. Over the next 2 days they put down the flooring in all of my rooms. Here is the amazing part, THERE WERE NO TRANSITIONS FROM ROOM TO ROOM. This may not seem like a big deal. But this is a very difficult thing to do. Even the two big box stores said they could not install in without using transition trim. So we were very pleased with the out come.

Shamus did a great job, for a very fair price. Great attention to detail. Shamus communicated very well, asking for feedback as he worked, to ensure the job met my expectations, which he exceeded. He started on time and finished on time. I need to also mention how patiently he mentored his helpers. A good boss gets good work out of thier employees. I hope I will be able to hire Shamus for more work I need done.

Shamus was very responsible in every aspect of project. He was very helpful in advising me on types of windows and wood since I had never done a project like this. The addition turned out better than I could have expected. I am enjoying listening to the rain and enjoying the wildlife.

Shamus has provided us with the best service on all kinds of jobs. He has always been here when he said he would be. He has repaired chimney leak, built railings, painted both indoor and outdoor, power washed roof and house, repaired wood on deck, fixed doors, done plumbing work, and many other various repairs. He is reliable, reasonable and always pleasant. We feel fortunate to have him working for us. He has become a dear friend. We would highly recommend Shamus for any kind of work.

Shamus came on time. Requested him to remove a load bearing wall section. Frame in an exposed beam and move outlets. Everything was done with great craftsmanship and care. This is the second job he has done for me. Would recommend him to any one.

Shamus and his helper showed up on the agreed upon time. They got right to work tearing out old damaged framing. The replaced the framing with new wood that I had picked up for him. He had given me a list of exactly what he needed. There was very little scrap left over. Door was repaired better then before. End results looked like a million bucks. Will Hire Again!!!!

Shamus arrived on time, as usual, the morning of the job. He brought with him all the parts and equipment needed to complete the project. He wanted to get started right away and got himself set up at the crawlspace. Working for a little while to get everything ready to install, he came back around to the front door and let us know he was getting close to shutting the water off. When he did turn it off, we didn't have to wait long {less than an hour} and he had the water back on for us. Shortly after that, the job was finished and Shamus was clearing up and putting his tools away. We now have a safe and very convenient flushable water filter system, that we are not afraid to use. Our old cartridge filter was located at the pump and was a nightmare to work with. Electricity and water are a dangerous combination and we dreaded changing out the filter cartridge. Shamus who has done many different jobs for us, would gladly change them out whenever he was doing a project at our home or if we simply called for that only. We would highly recommend Shamus to anyone who needs a job done well. He has always been priced very fair and works to get the project completed in a timely and professional manner. He is our first choice when we need something done.
