"Adam and his crew did an excellent job installing my patio. Adam’s professionalism was apparent at every aspect of the process from helping me design it, to submitting all the necessary information to my HOA, to the actual installation. Adam was there to oversee every step of the process and to answer my questions. The finished product is a beautiful addition that I will enjoy for years to come."

"Excellent service and pricing. Did great job installing lights. Loved that they come out at night to display the lights so you can see the lighting effect at night. Also installed the lights at dusk to make sure they were aligned properly. Highly recommend them."

"Large 70 Foot tree, and two smaller trees were removed. Their team was well organized, skilled and professional in all aspects of the project. They showed much concern for both for their safety and protection of my property. Aaron, their climber went high in the large tree and brought its limbs down one by one, most controlled by a restraining rope, with no damage whatever to property. The process was quickly completed with cleanup performed during the operation. Their salesman had previewed the project so that the team arrived with the exact equipment needed to accomplish the job. I would use their services again if needed."

"I had to fire my old service due to lack of attention. When I asked for a quote, it was delivered timely. When service began, we had lots of rain but I was frequently notified that they would get to me as soon as possible. Great job!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

You should have either an ABC or K-rated fire extinguisher in the kitchen. ABC fire extinguishers put out wood, trash, paper, plastic, and textile fires along with grease, oil, gas, kerosene, and electrical fires. A class K fire extinguisher is specifically rated for use in the kitchen and is designed to extinguish combustible cooking materials, including grease and fat.

Yes, fire extinguishers eventually expire. However, the good news is that a properly stored fire extinguisher can last a decade or longer. They don’t have an expiration date on the canister, but you can check the manufacturing date on the “UL” nameplate near the classification information. Maintenance will also give your fire extinguisher longevity. Check the gauge at the top of the extinguisher every month. You'll want to make sure the gauge needle is in the green section, and if a hose or nozzle has been used or damaged, you need to replace it.

Certified fire door inspectors should inspect fire doors. These professionals receive training to specifically assess the condition, functionality, and compliance of fire doors. They often hold credentials from groups like the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI) or the International Fire Door Inspector Association (IFDIA). While fire marshals won’t usually do hands-on inspections, they’ll check that doors are being maintained properly during routine safety audits. If a building relies on fire doors for code compliance, it needs someone who understands the details—the difference between a cosmetic issue and a safety failure—and standards to sign off with confidence.

Yes, there are regulations on using wood stoves, particularly concerning emissions and installation standards. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sets emission limits for wood stoves to ensure they burn cleaner and more efficiently. Additionally, local building codes may have specific requirements for installation and venting, so it's essential to check with local authorities before installing or upgrading your stove.

It’s technically possible in some areas to install your own fire suppression system, but it’s usually not a good idea. Your system must conform to the fire code in your area and will need to pass a rigorous inspection before being activated and deemed safe. Installing a fire suppression system is a complicated job, and making mistakes as a DIYer is likely. Those mistakes can cause you to fail your inspection, which means you’ll have to spend more time fixing the issues or money to have a certified plumber do the work for you. It’s best to hire a professional.
