"We recently had this company replace our original 1000 gallon septic tank with a 1500 gallon upgrade, along with an additional drain field line and they did a great job. If you want people who are skilled, hardworking and honest to handle your project, then I recommend that you give NC Septic & Pump your consideration. Their communication is excellent and they are very easy and pleasant to work with."

"He over charged me. I paid 1500.00 for my septic tank to be cleaned out and rejuvenated it, as he called it. He quoted over the phone 400.00, so I expected to pay 600.00. When he got here he started to tell me about an easier way to find my septic tank for next time. He was going to add risers for me. He said the price of that was 2800.00 I was like I ca not afford that, so maybe another time. He told me he would charge me 1500,00 to do the whole job. He said he would give me a first responders discount, I told him I work in the Emergency Department at a hospital, plus I was still in my uniform when I met him, I had just gotten off of work. He said that he counts that as a first responder. Then, he said he would give me a first time customers discount and the total went from 2800.00 to 1500.00 but I had a water line directly over the tank and he could not do the risers, but he still charged me 1500.00. I felt like I was ripped off! It had to be cleaned out and I just wanted to get it done so that I could shower and go to sleep. He came out on a Monday morning a little after 9am. It was not a holiday or weekend. He did not do any extra work that would have cost 1500.00. I was confused and just paid him. Even though I felt like he was ripping me off. He did clean out all the materials inside of my septic tank. He was friendly and explained how the septic tank worked. I still feel like I triple paid for a job."

"Mike and his team did a fantastic job hooking our house to city sewer and properly addressing our abandoned septic tank. When the big day came, he had a full crew in place and they got to work and knocked out the project quickly. Everyone was professional and the work was done well for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!"

"Gentleman that came out, I believe his name was Cory, did exceptional work. He was great with communication. Our original scheduled date had to be changed due to an emergency he had. He was prompt in letting me know and getting rescheduled. He came out showing his knowledge, politeness, and professionalism. He communicated and even let us know of a couple future problems and fixes that he saw will be coming. He didn’t push any other sales or costs on to us and was up front on the charge. We also found out this fine young man is a veteran. Thank you again for your service, sir. I highly recommend CB Septic and know that we will be used them again."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

New homeowners in Monroe should begin with a thorough septic inspection and locate both the tank and drain field. Review any available maintenance records, schedule pumping if it’s overdue, and install risers for easier future access. It’s also wise to assess the drain field for signs of saturation and establish a septic system maintenance plan tailored to Monroe’s soil and seasonal weather conditions.

Helpful?

For septic tank service in Monroe, concrete tanks and PVC piping are ideal for handling local clay soil and temperature swings. Choose risers and lids that are resistant to freezing and corrosion, and select washed gravel that meets state septic system requirements for drain fields. Using gentle bacterial additives instead of harsh chemicals helps maintain healthy septic system function and supports long-term reliability.

Helpful?

Completing septic tank service in Monroe enhances home comfort by preventing sewage backups, foul odors, and groundwater contamination. Regular septic system maintenance protects well water, keeps lawns usable after rain, and supports a healthier outdoor environment. Staying proactive with inspections and service helps avoid emergency repairs, boosts property value, and ensures a safer, more enjoyable home for your family.

Helpful?

To keep septic tank service projects safe for families in Monroe, create a secure work zone by using temporary fencing and keeping children and pets indoors during service. Consider arranging for pet care or childcare if major work is scheduled. After the project, inspect the yard for proper backfill, confirm all access lids are locked, and wait before allowing outdoor play to ensure safety.

Helpful?

In Monroe, unexpected costs during septic tank service often arise from the need for additional excavation in areas with dense clay soil, addressing tree root intrusion, or restoring landscaping after work is complete. Homeowners may also encounter expenses for updating older systems to meet current septic regulations, installing pump systems in high water table zones, or paying for emergency service if issues are discovered during inspection.
