"All I can say is "thank you, thank you, thank you!!!" I live in Raleigh and my elderly parents are in Winston-Salem. They had been having trouble with their plumbing and were not able to get anyone to come and assist with pumping out the septic tank. They had called several companies and due to the age of the home and subsequent unit, not one would even come out and assess the problem. Until I had them to call Affordable Septic and Grease Cleaning. My parents called and the guys at Affordable Septic came right out. They dug where we thought the tank was, but it wasn't there, so the guys (Ken and crew) recommended a vendor who could find the location. Once the location was confirmed Affordable Septic came back out and completed the job. Everyone on the crew was respectable, courteous and professional. They stuck with my parents (I think it was 3 trips out in total) until the job was successfully completed. I cannot thank you enough. I highly recommend Affordable Septic and Grease Cleaning."

"I needed my septic tank pumped and I was prepared to wait till the following week. These guys came out the same day and had the best price around ( I know because I called at least 6 other companies). Both gentlemen had great attitudes, and friendly! Pumping before summer also helps avoid conflicts with vacations or outdoor gatherings. Fall is another great option, as contractors may be less busy, and servicing the tank can reduce the risk of overflow from winter and spring precipitation. While summer is also a suitable time, winter is generally not recommended due to frozen ground.

You can put yogurt in your septic tank, but it will not increase the bacteria in your septic tank. In other words, it won't harm your tank, but it won't get rid of a septic smell or boost the performance of your septic system. While yogurt contains helpful bacteria, you would need to buy an extraordinary amount of yogurt to make any difference. Adding yogurt is not a helpful or cost-effective strategy.
