"Job Estimate: The work consisted of removing a section of the driveway that had cracked and was partially lifted up creating a tripping hazard. During the estimate several scenarios were discussed and priced out from total removal of the driveway to partial removal and staining of the driveway for consistent coloring. We elected to go the simplest route: remove the pad that essentially became a speed bump. Along with this he had quoted cleaning, prepping and re-staining some stamped concrete work we had done a couple of decades ago. <br /> Job Performance: The crew showed up as scheduled with Joe as the on-site team supervisor (and laborer! no &quot;drop the team off and leave&quot; for this crew...very unusual these days and very much appreciated). Removal of the concrete pad was the first priority and in no time, they had it removed, forms installed, re-bar installed to tie-in the other portions of the driveway and poured. We elected to go with 4000 psi concrete since we needed a quicker set time. Additional saw cuts were made in the erst of the driveway, our concrete patio and the stamped sidewalk in order to allow for movement and to reduce the potential for additional cracking of the concrete. <br /> The stamped sidewalk effort required two days just to allow for it to be cleaned and prepped then stained. The sidewalk and driveway entrance looked brand new when they were done. <br /> Overview: Over the past year we had attempted to contact several concrete firms to have this work done (or at least quoted). Joe was to only one to respond to our inquiry and his price was reasonable for the work performed. The team worked hard, consistently, and showed up and finished on time. This firm will be my &quot;go to&quot; company for any further work of this nature. <br />show more
