We are a full service well drilling, well pump, and water treatment company. We offer free pump inspections on site, and we also offer free water quality tests for the inside of the home. Currently we have 4 dedicated crews to handle service calls, well pump repairs and replacements, and new well exploration and drilling services. We install re-pressurization systems to boost water pressure and septic pumps. We also have dedicated personnel who are available 24hrs a day to handle water emergencies, for example, no water in the house, damaged or faulty pumping systems, or contaminated or hindered water supply to the premises. We do all of our work in house, and do not subcontract. We offer free estimates and inspections and there is no charge for our visit to the house. We are a family owned and operated business and pride ourselves in a high level of integrity and professionalism.

The Water Doctor cut that initial companies quote in half. They set up an appointment for the next morning, the well was fixed quickly and efficiently. Frank even fixed a potential future problem. No. You should never directly drain a water softener into a sewer cleanout. This practice is illegal in many areas because it could allow raw sewage to get into your drinking water and make you seriously ill. Many places have codes requiring a specific seal, pipe, and a large air gap between a water softener and a sewage cleanout. It’s sometimes possible to install a water softener yourself, but it’s usually better to hire a water softener professional to get the job done. Water softeners involve plumbing and electrical work, which usually require permits and a certified expert to sign off on the work. Not only is it dangerous to work with these utility lines, but it’s also not legal in many areas. Plus, improper installation or system sizing might not fix your hard water issue and could lead to an increased risk of leaks, fires, and other property damage. 

It’s not a good idea to oversize your water softener. Doing so will mean the tank doesn’t get full, which can lead to channeling. This leads to a large portion of the resin beads not being utilized and the beads at the bottom of the tank being overused. Over time, this will reduce the efficiency of your system, not to mention that the upfront cost of an oversized softener is unnecessarily high. If you have a timed regeneration cycle rather than a demand-based one, you’ll also spend far more on replacing salt than you need to.

You can use a commercial water repellent treatment for glass on your shower doors to prevent water spots. Take care to only apply the product to glass. Letting air circulate also helps prevent water spots, as water is less likely to remain on the glass for a long time with good air circulation. Run your vent fan, open a window, and leave the shower door open for about half an hour after using the shower.
