"I held off renovating my bathroom because of the stories I heard from friends about their bad experiences. If I’d known sooner about Bath Planet, I wouldn’t have had to. They are outstanding! I’m extremely happy with my new bathroom and appreciate the team that handled the job. They really listened to what I wanted and helped me every step of the way with the design process, and responded to any questions and concerns. The craftsmen paid unbelievable attention to detail, were meticulous in their work during the entire job, respectful and so easy to work with. They completed the job on time and within the budget."

"I called Mr. Rooter because I had called another Plumbing company to come out the night before and they were a no show.  They were extremely friendly over the phone.  I called at approx 8AM and said they'd be able to come out by 11AM.  They called at about 9:30 to say someone was available to come out now and I said that was perfect.  They arrived at 10AM.

Jason was the plumber who arrived and he was very very friendly and professional.  I told him the problem and we discussed pricing up front.  I had a coupon which he said they would definitely honor.  He immediately got to work.  He wore footies over his shoes while in the house.  He worked diligently and answered all of my questions.  After about an hour and being certain the line was clear he cleaned up, we took care of payment which was exactly what was discussed beforehand, and he was on his way.

A very pleasant and hassle free experience.  I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter for the Franklin County area again for any plumbing needs and would recommend them to anyone needing this kind of work.

The job also comes with a 30 day warranty which I thought was great and definitely put my mind at ease just in case something happened again."

"This was the most pleasant, professional and efficient company to work with. The price was fanominal at several thousand less than the next big boy company. The product is great! The time for installation was very low. The end product is exceptional. If you want a caring, qualified and knowledgeable company to install a walking tub this is absolutely the one you want to use!!!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Several property features complicate plumbing work. Low-clearance crawl spaces prone to moisture make pipe access difficult. Older Union homes feature outdated cast iron drains and non-standard layouts requiring extra labor. In rural MO areas, coordinating well and septic systems adds logistical steps. Additionally, expansive clay soils cause ground shifting that stresses underground lines, while high water tables near the Meramec River impact drain fields.

Helpful?

Prepare for plumbing maintenance during MO winters by keeping pipe insulation on hand for unheated crawl spaces. You must know the exact location of your main water shutoff or well pump switch to stop leaks immediately during freezing temperatures. Keep a basic drain snake for older cast iron pipes common in Union. Finally, maintain a pressure gauge to monitor well performance and a moisture detector.

Helpful?

Before scheduling plumbing services, document whether your property uses municipal water or a private well. Record your sewer connection status or septic tank details, including the last pump-out date. Note any history of frozen pipes, slow drains, or hard water issues common in Union. Finally, gather past city permits, locate your main shutoff valve, and map out your property boundaries for any required excavation.

Helpful?

Watch out for contractors quoting plumbing work who fail to include required city permits or pressure you to skip mandatory inspections. A missing state license number is a major warning sign. For older Union properties, contractors must provide a detailed scope addressing outdated pipes. Furthermore, quotes for rural MO homes must assess well and septic interactions. Finally, demand a clear, written plan for excavation.

Helpful?

When planning plumbing projects, anticipate unexpected expenses like city permit and inspection fees. Older Union homes hide corroded galvanized or cast iron pipes that require complete replacement. You must also account for hidden freeze damage in uninsulated crawl spaces common to MO winters. Finally, upgrading water heaters or transitioning from a septic system to city sewer lines introduces mandatory code compliance upgrades.
