"Kirkwood Plumbing was very responsive, sending a highly qualified technician within 24-hours. He did an incredible job replacing old cast stacks and vents to our 2nd floor bath. The further comment that I would make is they are not cheap. I'm still trying to reconcile their cost for a 7-8 hour job, but the results couldn't be better."

"This is the second time we’ve hired GA Chott during the past 15 years. We hired Darryll and Angie and team to build out a bathroom from scratch (no plumbing) in our upstairs attic space, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The quality of the work is unsurpassed. We had an inspector ask us about who did the work so that he could contact them for a job in his own home. The quality and attention to detail were incredible. James is purely a rockstar – he works quietly (considering it included demo and the like), cleanly and respectfully. He kept us in the know along the way and really brought the details together. He was always available when we had questions and did quality work from top to bottom. Most of all, James really treated our home as though it was his own. The coordination of the project (which included several required inspections) was all handled by Angie and team. She is a great communicator, and that can’t be overlooked in a project of this scale. Again, she was always available for any questions we may have, and made it feel like we were their only clients. Darryll helped us navigate decisions and brought the full plan together. When we encountered a couple of small issues, he was quick to address and correct them, and assured that things were properly handled. This was a large, 8-week project. We did our homework and acquired several bids. GA Chott wasn’t the cheapest (or the most expensive), but they were clearly the best choice. We give our highest recommendation. You’ll be pleased with both the quality of the work and how it’s handled throughout the process."

"I hired this company to extend the natural gas in my house and would definitely recommend them. I felt that the plumber who did the installation really knew what he was doing and seemed like a great guy. The installation went well and the price was fair."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Upgrading plumbing in MO impacts several household systems. Working near exterior walls or crawl spaces easily disturbs insulation protecting your ductwork from freezing temperatures. Adding fixtures without checking supply line sizes decreases water pressure to existing appliances. For homes on private septic systems, increasing water flow overloads the drain field. Always hire a licensed contractor to coordinate electrical panel clearances safely.

Helpful?

Upgrading plumbing in your High Ridge home directly boosts resale appeal. Many older homes in the area have aging pipes, and state law requires sellers to disclose known defects. Completing permitted plumbing creates a solid paper trail showing professionals resolved any issues. For properties on private wells, up-to-code connections ensure smoother inspections and stronger buyer confidence during the sale process.

Helpful?

Several daily habits damage plumbing in High Ridge. Failing to prepare for freezing temperatures by leaving garage doors open or forgetting to disconnect hoses causes severe pipe stress. Flushing wipes or overusing garbage disposals overloads private septic systems. Additionally, ignoring hard water buildup accelerates mineral scaling inside water heaters. Route your sump pump discharge away from the foundation to prevent chronic moisture damage.

Helpful?

Completing plumbing in High Ridge requires factoring in administrative and active work times. Local building departments process permits in five to ten business days, while inspection appointments require three to seven days of lead time. Active work ranges from four hours for fixture replacements to five days for a full home repipe. Scheduling during late winter freezes adds several weeks to your timeline.

Helpful?

Avoid contractors who skip mentioning local permits or fail to provide a state-issued license number. In MO, unpermitted plumbing creates serious legal and resale liabilities. Watch out for professionals proposing unusually fast timelines, as this indicates they plan to skip mandatory inspections. Finally, reject any quote that ignores freeze protection measures or fails to address how new fixtures impact your existing septic system.
